I know that Bar de la Coronne closed sometime ago, but I recall reading that some other bar has opened, M4M strippers. Anyone know the name and location?

Also wondering if there is a strip bar, or a bar with shows in Hamilton, Ontario. I seem to recall years ago there was one but I have heard nothing since. Thanks in advance.

Last time I was in Quebec City was several years ago. There were supposedly 2 places, Bar de la Couronne and another one whose name I forget but it was not far from the Couronne. However, when I looked in at the other place, there were no strippers, and the Couronne was the only one I could find. There were 3-4 saunas, but only 1 active strip bar.

Fugues has ads and info for Quebec City and the rest of Quebec province too, not just Montreal, though for obvious reasons the majority is for Montreal. Try looking at a copy of that or online. If there is a new place in Quebec City I'm sure they won't be keeping it a secret.

Haven't heard of one in Hamilton, but then again I haven't been looking for one there either.

I happened to ask a stripper the other day what was going on in Quebec City since La Caronne (sp?) had closed and he told me that a new one had opened across the river near or in Levi, I believe. I can't remember what else he told me but I guess you are looking at a taxi ride across the bridge. If I hear the name I'll post it, it's only opened recently and won't be listed in many places yet.

As for Hamilton, I doubt very much there is a male stripper bar but there is one in the Toronto suburbs now, Mississauga, I believe, which is on the way to Hamilton (sorta).

Maybe not "listed," but they'll probably be advertising, in Fugues or some other publication(s), or at least locally in Quebec City.

I doubt it too.

Yes, the new one in the Toronto suburbs is in Mississauga. It's The Lounge, 1820 Dundas St East, between Dixie and the 427.

As I recall, it was Bar de la Couronne.

I checked FUGUES and there are two strip bars listed in Quebec-city area:

- Cabaret Bugs - 1965, rue Jean-Talon, Sainte-Foy, tel.(418) 683-3730. It says that gay crowd is welcome on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8 p.m. - 3 a.m.

- Le Gai Serpentin - 101 boul.du Pont, Saint-Nicolas tel. (418)831-4055. Thirsdays to Saturdays 7 pm-3 am.

well, both of them are not too convenient - the first one because of the scedule, second because of it's location. It's situated near the old Quebec bridge - better to tell BEFORE it, on the highway 132. you can check both locations on mapquest.com

De La Couronne is not mentioned AT ALL.

Strip Clubs in Quebec City

Bringing this thread back to the top for updates.

I will be in Quebec City the last week of March, 2005. Any news of the strip clubs since the last post? I looked at the Fuges website, but my high school French has failed me, and I can find no info.

I'd rather not make any long taxi trips to Sainte-Foy or especially Saint-Nicolas to find out the bars mentioned last March are closed. Saint-Nicolas is on the other side of the St. Lawrence River and quite a drive.

RE: Strip Clubs in Quebec City

I have to agree with Big Guy; why travel there when so much is available in Montreal? However, quite a few years ago, maybe seven or eight, I went to La Couronne (not sure how to spell it) 'cause I was visiting Quebec City (it is a beautiful taste of Europe for us in the summer). And to my surprise, I had the best time with the guys there - took two suppossedly straight guys back to my hotel and they partied hard with me till noon!

As for Hamilton, I think that the place to go is in Misisauga (not sure how to spell) here is their web site:

I am planning a trip to Toronto this summer and might drop in, it seems to be a very different type of place .... If anyone goes, I too would appreciate some info.

The bar in St. Foy is about a 15 minute drive from the old city of Quebec. I have never been there. I go to Quebec for different reasons and if I want a good time with dancers go to Montreal.

Hamilton does not have any strip bars at this point.

The Lounge in Mississauga is a good 20 to 25 minute drive from downtown. It is a little seedy and you need to check out your glasses your drinks are served in cause they can be quite dirty. The quality of the guys varies from week to week. It is close to where I live but have stopped even trying there.

Thanks for your concern, but I am going to Montreal on the trip too, and will be spending quite a few hours at Taboo. I just was hoping that while I was in Quebec City I might find something to do in the evenings other than soak up the charm. Anyone who goes to Quebec without going to Quebec City is missing one of the most beautiful and historic cities in North America. It's about 125 miles east, easy to get to, and my favorite place after Williamsburg, Virginia. You are definitely not in Kansas anymore. Now if we could just spice up the nightlife.

Don't overlook Adonis. Not the same atmosphere as taboo but they have several cute guys in residence: Devin, David, Ralph immediately come to mind. A number of others too as well as Pierre formerly of Taboo/Campus and Yvan formerly of Campus. I have a good time at both.

According to the current issue of Fugues: Le Gai Serpentin is alive and well. I couldn't find anything for Cabaret Bugs/Sainte-Foy.
