Lucky, Thanks for the very thorough and objective look at Adam's Wood Lounge. I first learned about A.W. when CTDick wrote an excellent review of the place followed by another great review by LIguy. I couldn't wait to go. Last night, "Sinful Sunday", I joined Lucky and his friend to a "guys night out"... I met Dennis (aka James) and Oscar, the only two dancers working last night, (we left at 9pm). When I had called earlier in the day, I was told 6 dancers were scheduled. The bartender Jeff is also a dancer, but was not circulating. In addition, there were very few patrons in attendance. What this place needs is publicity to get out the locals and City slickers...From Penn Station, it's an hour train ride and A.W. will send a car to pick you up. Good deal... The cost of admission is $20.00 and for this you get all the soft drinks and snacks you want, plus a complimentary lap dance. Mine took place with a very handsome and friendly dancer named Dennis (aka James). He was wearing just a g-string and rolled his hot muscular body up and down over me, lasting about 5 minutes. Afterwards, he took me to a small private booth and gave me a "full service" satisfying experience...A point to mention, there was absolutely no pressure to have the "private" show. Unfortunately, time did not permit me to have "private shows" with Oscar and Jeff, but there will be a next time...AW has a very friendly and open-minded owner named Carl. He took his time to show us around and answered all our questions. He made us feel comfortable and at home. This lounge has a lot of potential and once the word gets out, LI will have one more hot place to offer it's gay community. For more information, call AW at 631-667-5035.

to go but decided to save my hard earned USA $$ for

Montreal Instead. I have however told some of the Dancers

From Gaiety about Adams Woods. I know that some are very interested

but wanted to know if there is a nice hotel near by. I could,nt tell

them that since I know nothing about the area. I do hope that some

of the dancers will check out the place. I hope to get there myself

some time soon.

This will probably sound like a naive question, but what exactly do you mean by "full service?" In other words, if he were to give me a "full service" private, would I get to fuck him? :9

Thanks for the great review! You write very well, as your descriptions leave nothing to the imagination, and I felt like I was there in person. And all this time, I thought your specialty were one line zingers! Is it really necessary to go all the way out to LI? Is this place as far out as Massapequa? Aren't there just as good, if not better, places in Manhatten?

 

Whatever, I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE!!!!! that I would never go to a place like that again until they provide adequate fire exits!! After all, I wouldn't want to see my "Lucky Charms" turn into a bowl of "Cocoa Puffs"!!!

 

I will never forget when the Cinema Follies in DC burned down in 1977. I was on my way there, but got caught in traffic due to an accident, or otherwise I would have been there at the time of the fire. It was a lot like this place sounds. You had to go up a narrow stairway to the top floor where the action was. A fire broke out on the stairway during a weekday afternoon and the people upstairs could not get down to the street level. Although there was an exit upstairs to the rooftop, the idiot owner (Bill Oates) had padlocked the damn door and several people died from smoke inhalation with wet shirts covering their faces in a futile attempt to block out the smoke from their lungs. A very, very sad situation in the history of gay life here in DC. Needless to say, since that day, if I encounter a place like this I make an immediate exit!

>him? :9 ----LBB, It's a good question, for the term "full service" is widely used on this board, esp. when talking about a Gaiety dancer's "private" show. Politely put, it means that the escort is open to deep kissing, mutual sucking, and fucking (top or bottom). "Mini-service" or "self-service" refers to a Gaiety type dancer who will let you do all the work while he sits back and enjoys, aka, "gay for pay". Hope this helps. Coop

If there are any clubs like this in Manhattan, I am unaware of them. Sure we have strippers and go-go boys who might do a private show, but lap dances are a thing of their own.

Why would a guy from Manhattan want to go all the way out to Long Island to see some dick? Curiosity for one. Oscar for two. Dennis for three!

Two friends joined me in an adventure to the land of beaches, rednecks, and the Adams Wood Lounge last night. They were advertising "Happy Dick Hour" and they fulfilled their promise.

It took about an hour to go by train and car and upon arriving I immediately wondered what the hell I had gotten myself into. The place is in the middle of nowhere. After driving down a long dark road we entered a well-lit parking lot. The entrance was into a straight porno shop with two scantily-clad ladies hanging about. Not to fear though, after sliding a twenty into a slot, the red door magically opened and we were greeted by the head honcho Carl, who gave us a tour. (The parking lot, he says, is monitored by cameras and two security guards hiding in the control room.)

One could get the initial impression that he had landed in the planet of sleaze, but Carl's welcome was warm and genuine. My fears were also set to rest upon seeing Oscar, a gorgeous Columbian guy wearing a nice blue thong and some super smooth skin.

The place is small, with a free juice bar and a lounge on the first floor. There is a large screen television with great picture quality showing hot guys fucking. Upstairs the same video is playing in a larger room with a couple of wrestling mats on the floor. Here is where the shows take place, but there was no show while we were there.

The upsatirs also has a smaller lounge area.

When we decided to get our free sodas we met James, another dancer. He is a very hot white guy, tall and beefy, reportedly hung big. All I know is that he had a great personality. You felt right at home with him.

Upstairs Oscar began a lap dance (included in the admission) which brought me closer to his finer attributes. That was all I needed as I asked him to show me the private rooms. (They are actually those cubby holes you see in porn places.) In the tight space I explored Oscar more closely. He had said something about sixty, which did not turn out to be sixty minutes with him. He was only moderately accomodating in the private, which was a disappointment. But Carl says he has loosened up a lot since he started. One could be happy just looking at Oscar.

My friends were more taken with James and each had a private with him. Reports were that he is a "full-service" kind of guy. With that personality and that body, James is going to go a long way in the lapdance business.

Carl, the honcho, later showed me the other gay area available to us. It took a fiver into the slot to get in, but for me he just unlocked the door. There was a large room with some porn DVD's for sale, a tank with a snake in it, and a maze of dark hallways where one could encounter his neighbor. The area was not too busy.

We had to catch our train so departed before the 10 0'clock show. Carl promised that he would oon purchase a banner from Hooboy so we could link directly to the club's website from right here in Hooville.

There are a couple of problem areas with Adam's Wood, the most important being that it is a firetrap. The upstairs lounge is reached by a spiral staricase. There are no exits upstairs. To get down, you go down the stairs, through a dark lounge and into a dark hallway. The first exit is not marked by a lighted sign. You then have to go out through the porno club.

The next problem is the lack of facilities. You have to go back to the straight area to use the bathroom. The dancers also have a bathroom here and I assume they wash up in between privates (and behind their ears as well)

We all went home with smiles on our faces and a wet spot here and there. Would I go back? Sure. But I wanna wait until they get that fire exit and sink! Carl says they are also building two larger rooms for privates. Then I will find out more about Oscar!
