The "count" situation

This happened a year or so ago. I post comments to the message center, and my count does not go up. I have been posting for 3/4 years and I am still on 96 posts. These other blokes are on hundreds. Mind you, I don't post continuously.

Can you go in and find how many posts have been made by swallows22?

The past week I have posted more than usual, and still my count went up by four. I was doing that on a couple days.

Obviously, compared to the tsunami damage, this is not critical, but wondering why it happens. Cheers!
