Daddy sez:

WebTV has always had a problem viewing the parts of the Forum. Not much I can do about it, as their system actually rearranges it before giving it to you. However, not all hope is lost. Several people on the forum use WebTV.

I've posted your message in "Daddy's Place" to see if we can drum up some suggestions from other WebTV users.

Cooper suggested I email you about this new problem. All of a sudden, I am unable to access the message center forum "Male Strip Clubs". I get the message center forum listing, but when I click on the MSC name I get a blank screen. The "tray" at the bottom shows variously, "feature", "1 on 1 live", "earthlink", etc. I can't figure it out. If I click on the latest message I can pull that up ok. Does this make any sense to you?

Thanks.

I really enjoy this forum and have been for the last two years or so. Also had the pleasure of meeting one of the original members at the G a year or so ago. Don't get there often, but can get to Toronto and MOntreal for my fix every once in awhile.

My only suggestion would be to ditch WebTV.

Most web developers test for IE/Netscape/Mozilla compatibility on Windows and Mac. Some of the larger shops also test on platforms like Sun Solaris. VERY FEW test for WebTV compatibility. (I'd say none, but I can't make that guarantee.) WebTV's web presence is so small it isn't financially feasible in most cases.

It may sound blunt, but most web developers just don't care about WebTV.

You could always complain to WebTV. Rant and rave. Get mad. Yell at them. They'll tell you the same thing: buy a PC.

A baseline PC that would handle web surfing and email adequately can be had for well under $1,000 these days. Find a used one, and it may serve you well. (And if you know anyone "in the business", ask if they have any old equipment they'd part with for cheap. Most of us end up with castoffs sitting in a closet.)

You'll find the WWW a completely different experience if you get rid of WebTV.

Out to Webtv users...

The solution to this problem is to go to "settings" on your home page and create a new webtv address. Use it to view M4M... You'll see that your current problems with viewing will be corrected... Unfortunately, if you can't read the forums, how will you see this message?

Daddy, could you please send it to the original poster. thanks...

Daddy Dearest,

as a WebTV owner myself, I've found I've rarely had any problems using this board. At one time I had a problem logging in, but, as you suggested, I erased my cookies, and that was that. I don't know why I have to erase my cookies every week now to get on the board, it was a year and a half before I had th first Troubles, and now I have to do it every week. But, such are the mysteries of the internet.

Other than that, everything works fine!

Interesting to see a Web TV post - I just got a Web TV set for a friend on ebay. He does not want a computer but does want internet porn! If I could get a little info from Web TVers, that would be great. Specifically, the one I bought is several years old and uses a dial-up modem. Is that outdated and a waste of time? Can you only view still shots or do movies just take a longer time? Also, who do you call or where do you go to get the service going? I have no idea what I'm doing, sorry!
