It is a BCC problem. (BCC=Between the computer and the chair. That is where 99.9% of any computer related problems that I come in contact with takes place, so it is easier just to say BCC. It is not so insulting to the poor sap that cannot figure out how to navigate AOL.)

I did hit a key combination and now just about everything I type and everything I read (IE: yahoo) shows up in italics.

When I edit reviews, they all show up on my computer in italics, yet on other computers I carry around with me, it looks normal.

So, my dear computer gurus, though I fear no evil, what can I do to get my baby from looking like Psalms?

And I know daddy wants all the details, but I do not know what I did. All I recall was I hit some keyboard combination....and it was not my head falling onto the keyboard for any smarty pants out there.

:+ :p

I assuming when you say "Everything" that more than just the IE Browser. i.e. All the program you run show this behavior. I don't know how you did it, but try this:

1) Right-Click on the destop

2) Select "Properties"

3) You should be in a "Display Properties" dialog box.

4) Select the "Appearance" tab.

5) Select "Windows Classic Style" in "windows and Buttons" drop-down.

6) Press "Apply" button

7) Everything should look like old style windows.

8) Select "Windows XP" in "windows and Buttons" drop-down.

9) Press "Apply" Button

10) Hopefully, everything should be back to normal

If not, let me know, and I'll get you the details on doing the hard way.

Regards, Daddy

It is doing it in Outlook and the Browser -- and it depends on the font -- it is not doing it in MS Word or on the notepad or even in this preview messge, however it will be italics when I pubish it.

I tried what you suggest below but it did not work, assuming I did it right.

Thanks,

I have XP if you ever get the time and want to come in and snoop around. Just don't steal mh private phone numbers....<ha>

Outlook uses the same rendering engine as IS for HTML mail.

In IE, choose Tools->Internet Options from the menu. Click the Fonts button. Make sure you haven't selected something outlandish (by accident, of course).
