SANTA MONICA BLVD UPDATE ANYONE?????

Going to LA in August - wondering if anyone has an update on the status of hustlers on Santa Monica Blvd? Is the construction finished? Any hot boys or men out and about these days?:7

"Is the construction finished?" I am not from LA or WeHo but was there in December of 2001. If my recollection serves me correctly, the construction has been concluded.

Yes the construction is finished. For decades there have always been guys working the blvd. Sometimes the location changes a little to the west or a little to the east (why do I feel like I am doing a west coast version of the Time Warp ) Anyway, just begin your journey at either LaBrea and work your way down to Vine or from Vine to LaBrea. You're sure to find the working guys.

 

They do tend to come out a little later in the evening these days. I would suggest you begin your cruising about 8:pm.

was in LA this past weekend, actually stayed Hollywood. I had occasion to pass through Santa Monica and La Brea several times and did notice some activity. Granted it was late afternoon, but there was some street trade hanging east of La Brea. They seem to favor hanging by the Shakeys Pizza. Really skanky looking. I would no soonor patronize them, than go to Shakeys. My, how times have chaged

Yes, construction is done...and there are nearly always some guys working the boulevard, mainly between Vine and LaBrea, with most between Las Palmas and LaBrea. There are sometimes one or two east of Vine as well. But they are a sad shadow of what used to be, thanks to an aggressive effort by LAPD. The quality has gone way down and, of course, many are on drugs. A nice, cute guy ready to please is a rarity these days compared with just a few years ago.

 

I recommend you use this board and Frontiers to find your amusement.

There goes the neighborhood...I just drove past Santa Monica and LaBrea and they are clearing out the SW corner (where the 24 hour Taco/whore stand used to be) to put in a new Best Buy AND Target store. As if traffic in that area isn't bad enough!!:o

OK guys let's face it, SM BLVD will never be like it was. I think the same can be said for any hustler area in any major American city. We are living in different times. When I first moved to LA 12 years ago there were boys all over the streets. The ratio of healthy, good looking guys to street druggies was much higher than today, of course.

Now if we are talking about today, I think the previous posts have left out an important area of the Blvd. There was a time that I wasn't brave enough to go further east than Vine. Eventually, I wondered past Vine and found an active area between Gower and Wilton. My tastes are specifically for the latin guys, and admittedly if you are not into latins or blacks this area is not for you. I find the usual trash and tranny set, but there is a latino gay bar called Tempo just down the street and at times some very sweet fare decides to try the street before they drive back home to Corona, or Whittier, or where ever the hell they came from.

I have wonderful memories of Santa Monica in the 80's but as of the mid 90s it went into the toilet. The last 7 or 8 times to LA, it has not even been worth driving down. Yes, there were a few guys but all shakey as stated above.

 

Numbers was also very disappointing. The new location was a surprise to me (about 3 or 4 yrs ago when it moved) but is a better more inviting space. God, I hated the "walk" at the old location. But most of the studs have dissappeared. Seems they are afraid to be seen! Any recent reports would be great!

Numbers Bar/Restaurant is hit and miss regarding Hustlers(not the food), some nights there might be a dozen or more guys in there "working" and other nights one or two. Usually Friday/Sat. has more then 1/2 dozen. Sometimes and this is totally random, there will be 3 or 4 fairly hot guys. the off nights like Tues, Weds, Thurs, while usually only of couple of guys working in there, you can get lucky as there are few customers. This spring i met porn star, Richie Fine sitting at the outside patio area, also it seems about every 3 or 4 months, several of the Latin guys from NYC(stellas)

take a trip out for a week to make money as the majority of guys working at Numbers are white, so when the muscled(gay for pay) Latin boys show up they are a novelty. BTW, the food is very good there, my friends and I go there for dinner about once every couple weeks, hence the above observations.:-)
