Paris--Porte Dauphine

I understand that this area on the west side of Paris is where street hustlers are to be found. Has anyone actually had any experience there? I will be traveling to Paris for Thanksgiving and would like to know more about this as well as any other information on hotels in the Marais or near the Louvre.

Yes, I lived in Paris for a number of years and was there again last week. Porte Dauphine was still quite active. Also you can follow the street along side of the Metro, around the University and find more. Usually, the best do not come out until after 10:00 pm and are hustling for money to go to the bars like Queen. Be careful, there are some rough ones and its best that you have a car to check out the scene. Be certain to negotiate what you want and the price. It is a negotations for many. Have fun!
