The Streets of Downtown Portland, Oregon

Tonight, my partner (an ex-escort) and I celebrated at a grand opening party for our newest hotel in downtown Portland. Since we live in Seattle and our other Portland area hotel is at the airport, we rarely see downtown Portland after midnight.

 

After our guest had left, we decided to stroll down the few blocks to the gay area around Stark Street And 10th to 12th. To our amasement we encountered a large number of street hustlers selling their wares throughout the area.

 

The majority of the guys were young, clean and well kept. Only a handfull were (or looked) strung out. They were friendly and we had conversations with 3 at the corner of 11th and Washington. They told us there was still a lot of action there in the area during the afternoon and after midnight. Their rates ranged from $50.00 up to around a hundred.

 

One admited to having a listing at escorts 4 you. (I looked and there he was, looking just about the same as his photo). He said there were several others still working the streets who were listed on the internet. Acording to him, all made up to 75% of their contacts on the street.

 

It looks like there is still one city with a very active street trade left.
