I have never hired an escort in India, but the gays I have met there live very discreetly--open homosexuality is not culturally acceptable there. You will see lots of young and older men holding hands or with their arms around one another in public, but it doesn't mean what it means on 8th Ave. in Chelsea. Male friends are normally physically affectionate in public, while men and women, even married couples, rarely touch in public.
