A Italian friend of mine was robbed in his apt. The door was opened with a key on a Carnaval night, and the only boy who used the key was this sauna boy from Sao Paulo, who had a long friendship with him and some of his brasilian friends in Rio and Sao Paulo, and picked a copy of the keys one night saying he would come back late at night.

 

The thief entered the apt and didn't pay attention to DVD player, tv, radios and stuffs in the entrance room, but entered directly the sleeping room, taking the laptop, some internet devices, and a bag with money, palmtop and credit cards. This proves that he already knew the place and the objects. Then the boy disappeared, never calling again to ask for his goods he still had into the apt...

 

The Boy ha an escorpion tattoo on his penis and did a DVD porno as well, so is very popular, mainly in Sao Paulo. He used the nick name of Alan Escorpiao, but is real name is Fernando, 25 yo.

 

Police says that he already spent five years in prison for robbery and drugs. I discovered some pics of the boy, if you mean this interesting.

 

 

Living Rio and Sao Paulo in full of good opportunities, and notwithstandig the continual Warning and Safe Tips, it happen to us to use our brasilian stay as an opportunity to reborn into a sort of paradise.

I spent now my three months stay, and succeed in developing a closer vision of their way of living. Please keep in mind that brasilians use to think in an excess form of Here and Now and are not used to plan in longer terms. So every easy access to money and economical possibilities is a push to spend more the same day, and this don't help them for the future.

 

Another italian friend of mine had his cell robbed by a boy with gun when he stopped in Flamengo. The thief was in the same bus with him, and listened my friend speaking with me in italian.

 

Now I think every day how to protect my things, don't talk to everyone of my status, use to live low profile and, beside knowing the Safe Tips, I USE them everytime and with everyone.

I think that photo of "Alan" is the one being referred to. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see a scorpion tattoo on the guy's penis.

The garoto is that Alan.

 

As I said, noone saw him doing the fact. But as in a good novel, all the suspects are against him. And still there is no majordomo.

 

He was the only not to call back after Carnaval, amongst the boys known, he was always without money like every garoto but he never came back after the fact for taking the car radio he previously intended to sell out. He is the only who had the time, the motivation, the knowledge, the keys to do the robbery.

And he knew the disposition of the stuff into the apt.

 

The police was of the same idea, after the declaration of what happened. The police compared all the possibilities and immediately asked for details about him, friends and telephon numbers but at the present time, as for as I have notice, with no result. I doubt the story will have more details at the end. Just is interesting for me to understand that is not enough if we think to know some garoto for a long time. They definitely have other things into their heads.

 

With the result of the robbery, the thief may spend many months partying with drugs and friends everywhere. So maybe someone will notice.

 

Nothing wrong occurred to me in my four years travelling to Rio, Sampa, Natal, Fortaleza, Florianopolis, Belem, Salvador. I just accostumed to brasilian style and wave, time after time, just suffering light overpricing, the weight to be considered a gringo to con with smile, the difficulties to try to forget my desire to prove and to use my Primeiro Mundo advantages with them.

 

This time all the Three italians I was in contact with told me how they suffered for some robbery. Or prove me how is easy here to be robbed if not worse.

 

Now i finally understood that I cannot just came to Rio and have an easy life. I must control, think, hide and beware a lot more than what I imagined before, or used to do at home in Italy.

This is not bad for me. This means development, growth. Continual progress, even for a gringo from Primeiro Mundo. Never end lesson.

 

And I still love Brasil...
