From what Glutes wrote, and from all of my reading that I have done at this particular forum and the site in general, "taxi boys" or guys for rent are NOT available in any saunas in Buenos Aires.

One has to meet the "meat" via the various websites of escorts that are here for our perusal as well as view.

I plan to be in Buenos Aires from 23 September until 01 October of this year; I'm hoping to use the services and guidance of Roberto, "Our man in Buenos Aires" to assist me in obtaining those guys I'm awaiting to meet.

Hope this helps! :-)

Here is his email address: vdagp@yahoo,com,ar. He does not have a computer at home and goes to internet cafes when he's not traveling.

It is hoped that he'll respond to your query within a matter of days.

I'm sending him my itinerary this weekend once I've decided where I'd like him to show me, etc......and be part of.....

He's a professional guide to us during his years of retirement and is a long, dear friend of Trilingual. When I emailed him three months or so ago, he just happened to have been in Rio at the time and coincidentally at Tri's apartment. (Read the information about him and what he has written at the site.)

I plan to be in Buenos Aires for my first visit November 15-December 8. Although I do speak some Spanish I wondered if Roberta prefers speaking with his visitors in English or Spanish. Also wondered if his rates as a guide are fairly reasonable. Thanks.

From all of the comments/responses that I've gotten from guys here as well as from private e's I've received, Roberto is fluent in English; that's why others and I have desired to use his services and guidance.

Apparently his rates are reasonable; he has yet to send them to me although I've asked in a previous email, but read about rates in the faq section of this forum. That will give you an idea what to consider giving our guides.

I'll second and third the recommendations about Roberto here. Roberto is a mature, open-minded, social man who knows Buenos Aires intimately. He's very helpful no matter what you want to do while staying in this incredibly beautiful and exciting city. He can find you a gay tango class, or tell you where to stay, or which stores offer the best prices for any kind of shopping. Want to take a cooking class in Buenos Aire? Roberto will find on for you. His rates are very reasonable and he's great company. I hope to re-engage him when I return for my second visit to BA sometime in 2006.

TOM'S is not a sauna. It's a downtown glory holes meeting place with clean cabins provided with gay porno dvd movies. Sometimes there are "taxi boys" working. http://www.buenosairestoms.com

Another place where you may cruise is WC http://www.waterclub.com.ar .Located in the town's cruising area.

SAUNA FULL http://www.afullspa.com is the only one to recommend. Gay crowd. No hustlers. UNIKUS is not really worth.

Since I started this thread, and now have some experience, I feel I should share it.

First, Roberto is an excellent guide to Buenos Aires. I spent a most enjoyable afternoon with him, and highly recommend his services. He is a true gentleman and a lot of fun as well.

I went to the "Full" Sauna, on Viamonte 1770, just off Callao, as Roberto recommended. It is large, with public spaces like a bar, a hot tub (which was not hot), a gym (which I should have used and didn't), two internet computers, a wet sauna, a dry sauna, showers etc., video room, and two floors of dark and inviting spaces. Everyone gets a locker, and if you feel moved to share a sexual experience, there are the usual small cells-cum-pallets with sliding doors that you can lock with a hook and a chain. You pay as you enter, and are given a green card on which extras are indicated as you purchase them, and pay for at the door as you leave. You are given a wraparound thingy about 24 inches by about 8 feet made out of bedsheets which you drape yourself in, around and around the middle, like a shroud or swaddling clothes, and a towel.

There were plenty of nice looking guys, with only marginally more interest in the middle aged than in such North American establishments. But no rent boys. If there were to be any shows, I saw no sign of them, though there was a sort of small elevated stage place in one area.

I enjoyed it for about 4 hours, then left. It is worth the time if you like that sort of thing, and the price, at least for those from the US, is like everything else in Argentina, ridiculously cheap. There is a web site for the various sauna opportunities in Buenos Aires at http://www.thegayguide.com.ar/sauna.htm.
