This board is brimming with suggestions and commentary on São Paulo hotels. Just look at the FAQ and use the "search" function within Escorts South to find what you're looking for. Try keywords including "São Paulo," "SP" and "hotel" to zero in on the postings.

If you want to stay in Paulista Jardins, I'd recommend Residencia Alameda. Great rooms, great safe location, nice staff. Great rates from Carlo.

Have already made up my mind, will stay at the Mercure Sao Paulo Downtown. Looks very nice and is very affordable.

Have dealt with Carlo before, and he will be taking care of my Rio reservation, but for SP, think I can do better, as I am a travel consultant, and have found a rate for myself, that I dont' think any one can beat. I will however check out your recommendation Thanks,

The Mercure downtown is a new hotel (it opened last year, as I recall). It's well-located and should be comfortable and attractive. I don't think anyone from M4M has stayed there yet, or posted about it if they have. Please do after your stay there. It would be worth comparing to the Bourbon, which is a popular downtown hotel for M4Mers located right on av. Vieira de Carvalho, downtown's Great Gay Way, with an array of festive nightspots at its doorstep.
