Transit in Caracas/Venezuela......Any Info?

Anyone been to Caracas, Venezuela? How is the gay scene there in terms of escorts/rent boys or saunas? I will be transit on my way to Rio, and have to stay overnight. Appreciate any guidance.

Caracas is a VERY big city in a country with economic/political upheaval. I'm sure there are escorts there! However, I don't think there's a sauna culture like Brazil's, although there ARE gay saunas in Caracas. At least one is a large, luxurious affair, I gather, and might have some people of interest. . .

 

I'd suggest having a look at the Venezuela listings on http://www.gaydar.co.uk -- there are usually more than 100 people online at any one time. You could try their chat room; if you don't speak Spanish it's likely you'll run into someone there who speaks English who can give you some info. I suspect Caracas isn't getting many tourists these days, so that's a plus for you!

 

If you know Spanish, try the gay Venezuelan site http://www.republicagay.com Look in the sections "La Guia" and "Clasificados." And REPORT BACK!
