It is a very nice day today. Overcast but not raining. Had a wonderful lunch on the beach at La Maison, returned to the hotel for some cuddling with Wan Hallen, and am about to head to Rogers. My poor baby Wan Hallen has developed a nasty fever blister and is headed to the hospital to see a doctor. We purchased over the counter medication, but it does not seem to be helping that much. Bob has come down with a mild case of pneumonia. The Atlantico called a doctor, who came right over and put him on meds. The doctor charged him $R350 which seems a bit high. I guess it was a house call. We now know he could have walked across the street and got the same treatment for $R50.

Yesterday Bob took Felix to the Benedictine Monastery, which is very beautiful. Felix introduced him to a Monk who had molested him when he was much younger (he is now 23) I guess the problem of doing little boys extends beyond the US Church. I am starting to get a complex in that the first public school I ever attended was University. Not once was I ever approached, let along molested by any of the dozens of priests that I have know. Was I so unatractive. Did I have bad breath (LOL).

We are headed to Buzios tomorrow (Friday), providing the prediction of sunny skies holds up. Also planning on doing Lapa on Saturday. Monday, we board a jet for Foz do Igacu for two days, returning on Wednesday. Wednesday night, Wan Hallen and myself are going to a Samba party, which is a School´s Carnival preview/practice. It starts at midnight and runs until 5 AM. Will do the heliocopter at the Falls. Wan Hallen says no way to the copter here in Rio, but seems more willing to do a ride in Igacu.

Will keep you posted

Another day of rain, but do not mind. Being from Arizona, it seems nice to have rain. Went to La Maison for lunch and just enjoyed watching the beach and of course the beautiful people.

Went to Rogers again yesterday and meet a beautiful twink from Belo Horizonte. While twinks are not usually my thing, he was very nice to talk to, and ended up being very passionate. There were perhaps 25 boys at Rogers last night and so there was someone for any taste.

There are many Americans now in Rio and it is fun talking with them. Last night we went to La Fiontina in Leme. It is upscale, with sidewalk seating. Saw several novela stars (Wan Hallen pointed them out to us). The food was good, but only gave it ***, maybe ***1/2. Tonight we are returning to Cafe Lamas, with a group of Americans in tow. Tomorrow, it is Buzios, rain or shine. The forcast however is for shine.

I just noticed a hugh bruise on my leg from my little fall. Gives me a good excuse to head to Rogers to sit in the steam room. Have had some of the best action in the steam room from the boys wanting to prove their passion. I had always fantasized about going to a male whorehouse where there were dozens of willing guys, just wanting to serve my evey need. For once, fantasy has become reality. I used to be hung up because I am not as beautiful as the boys I lusted after. No More. The Brazilian boys really do not care what you look like. The most important thing is that your Reals are real. Ah, the great compensator.

Will keep posting.

We just returned from two amazing days in Foz do Igacu. Spectacular simply does not describe it. We flew on VARIG and had no problems with the service. We arrived at 3 PM and immediately went to the Brazilian side of the falls. This is about an hour walking tour. We then went on the Mocucu speed boat trip, which almost took us under the falls. It was very exciting and very fun. Plan on getting wet. On Tuesday we did the Argentina side. It takes about six hours, and involes a lot of walking. The highlight is walking onto the river via catawalks right to the edge of one of the falls. Had a great lunch in an Argentine restaurant right in the Part. We followed this up with a heliocopter tour of the falls. Wan Hallen would not go and got mad because I did. He was deadly afraid it would crash. It didn't. Got a great view, and saw all the areas that we had seen walking. Today we toured the Itaipu Hydroelectric dam. It is the worlds largest hydroelectric dam, producing 90% of Paraguay's power and 25% of Brasils. We stayed at the 5 star Boourbon, which is located on the edge of the park. Great place to stay. We were met at the airport, and had a very nice, very goodlooking guide take us to all our adventures. Many new gringos in town. Will probably do Rogers again. Am really tired, need to get up a second wind for tonight.

I was in Foz do Igacu a couple of weeks ago. I too use the word "amazing" to describe the experience. Words can not describe Igacu! Anyone going to Brazil should take a side trip to the Falls.

Getting redy to head to the Marriot with Wan Halen and the other gringos at the Atlantico. Went to Fuji to get my Igacu photos, but took the wrong disk. Wan Hallen developed a bloody nose (minor) and returned to the Atlantico to take care of it.

Went to Rogers. It was a bit quiet, but still many attractive boys. I am still sore from walking what seemed to me all over Argentina on Tuesday. Had one of the boys give me a massage. If you want a really good massage, get one from the massagista. The boy was more fun. Wan Hallen went to a Samba festa last night (too much standing up in a smoked filled room for me) and he had a great time. There were several novela actors there and he has photos of him with several of them.

I am still amazed at the beauty of Igacu. While viewing the falls from the Argentine side (where you walk over the river to the edge) we had our photo taken by a guy stnding on a step ladder. He did not take our name or any information. On the way out, hours later, we stopped at the entrance to see if they had somehow got them developed. They were not there. The guy just asked what hotel we were at, again no name. 3 hours later, the bellboy brought us the photos. I felt like I was famous and so well known that a name was not necessary.

Well, I hope all of you are having a very nice holiday. Those of us in Rio have much to be thankful for.

I, too, wish to ditto what Big Daddy and Mikez7 and others who have encouraged ALL M4Mers to take 2, 3, or more days and spend them at Foz do Iguacu; you will be culturally and ecologically enriched. Although I traveled alone here (which in retrospect I would NOT do again) the experience was exhilarating. enlightening, and indeed breathtaking!

Do it with company, men! :9

We had a very nice Thanksgiving Dinner at the Marriot. Wan Hallen knew that it was a gringo holiday, but appreciated the food much more. I told him that I was thankful that he is such a good amorador, and he said that he was very thankful that I am now part of his life. He has been my special baby for over a year now.

We went to Marius in Lemme last night (late, around 10:30). While it was very good, I think I still prefer Por Cao in Flamingo. Tomorrow we are heading to one of the rural beaches, and tomorow night we are going to see the lighting of the huge Xmas tree in Lagoa.

The Fugi store fucked up my phots of Iguacu and am pretty upset. Luckily Bob has his photos and I also purchased some professional shots that are on a digital CD.

We are thinking about going to 117, but probably will end up at Rogers. Bob has fllen in love again, with a very nice guy named

Ronaldo. I prefer Rogers as the staff is very attentive and while there are not 50 garotos hanging around, there are more than enough to satisfy almost any taste.

The newly renovated Roger's seems to be on a great rebound from what you and a few others have written recently. I'm upset with myself for not venturing there when I was in Rio for almost twelve days last month.

Well, if all goes well, it is hoped that Roger's will be alive and thriving when I return. :9

It has been an overcast day today. Many gingos including my friend Bob are headed back to reality tonight. I have extended my stay to be with Wan Hallen an extra two days. Will return to reality Saturday evening.

The Fuji store did not fuck up my CD, I just did not do into it far enough to get the Iguacu shots. Am very happy as the place is just so spectacular. Got some really great shots from the air.

Saturday night we attended a wedding at Rogers. The bartender married the front desk boy. It was very nice. There was wedding cake after the ceremony. I beleive it was a civil union as they signed several papers that looked official. There was also a show, so it was a very festive evening. Wan Hallen went with me for the first time, because it was a wedding. I think he quizzed the garrotos as to my activities there. I think he wanted to make sure that I was not telling any of them that I loved them etc. I am always up front and say that I have an armorado and that we have known each other for over a year.

Wan Hallen knows how much I enjoy going to the saunas so he gives me space. The sauna scene is really very difficult to describe. For me, it is exciting hanging around 20 or so mostly beautiful garrotos, in towels, often with their dicks hanging out. It is like being in Disney Land for gay adults. At first I was very conscience of my weight. I finally realized that the Brasilians really do not care what you look like. Last night, a really old guizzer, at least 80 was escorted to one of the sofas. He soon had a gorgeous hunk on either side of him, a dick in each hand. The guys were just as nice to him as if he were 30 and beautiful. You can have one, two or three garrotos sit and talk with you, or you can just sit alone and watch the scenery. As for going to a cabine, you pick the one you want, and for a time, you are his focus of attention. Yes, some are better than others. At these rates however, you can try many of the garrotos out, and then return to the special ones.

Finally got to Lagoa last night. The giant Xmas tree is really beautiful. Rio is getting decked out for Christmas. Reminds me of how it used to be in Arizona before there was no money for public decorations. Had dinner in a Japanese restaurant with 3 floors. We went to the top and had an unbelievable view of Lagoa. The waiter was equally stunning.

Have seen the violence on TV as the drug gangs are currently very active. I have not personally seen any of it as we stay mostly in Zona Sul. Follow Tomcals advise and you will not have any problems. Most of the time I have Wan Hallen with me, and he is always looking out for us. At his height, most thugs would just as soon seek out weaker prey.

It is 5:30 and the novelas have just started for Wan Hallen. Will be going to Rogers tonight with Fransisco (who is also leaving later tonight).

My time in paradise is winding down, however am already looking forward to my next trip in April. There is a new crop of gingos at the Atlantico and all seem to be having a great time. I know that I will not take saying good bye to Wan Hallen very well, so a good friend gave me a valium, which I know I will need. I know that he will be ok so that makes it much easier.

RE: Sharing Paradise

At this very moment, BD is probably in the air on his return from another momentous time in "paradise" as so many have called Brasil (or Rio especially)!

I, too, again want to thank you personally for your willingness to share with us readers at this board your myriad of experiences which you've recently undergone in "Mother Brasil!" I do hope that when you rest and regroup that you'll be able and willing to share some of your pics with us via Snapfish or the Riotravelyahoogroup forum. Hope I'm not being too presumptuous!

Muito Obrigado and um abraco, BD, L.....!!

Have returned to the real world and already am planning my next adventure in Paradise. It was very difficult leaving. Wan Hallen made it much easier by letting me know that he loves me and that I will be returning to him and magical Brasil. Each time I started to cry, he embraced me and let me know that he was my bebito. We spent Saturday going for a long ride with Eddie (our Brasilian driver)just to take my mind off of the fact that I would soon be boarding the Continental flight back to Bushland.

For me, the month went by with lightening speed. There were so many highlights that it is really difficult to describe them all. The most important thing for me was that I was with Wan Hallen and I once again felt truly loved. Yes I went to the saunas and fucked and sucked, and had a great, fantasy filled time. Wan Hallen always knew however that my heart was his. He, along with most Brasilians understand the difference between lust and love, and enjoy both to the fullest.

On Friday night we went to Marius in Lemme. Very up scale, a bit overpriced but fun. Went with Paul from CA and Wan Hallen. There was a very festive atmosphere generated by a diverse group, including many who were decidely gay. As the evening progressed, we concluded that the group must be from a cruise ship. Finally, Paul asked the table next to us what nationality they were, which opened up the next question of where they on a cruise. It turned out that they were all crew members from the QE 2 which was in port. After meeting them I know the QE 2 must be a fun ship.

I forget which night, but sometime last week, as I was crossing a street, (against the light, which is really putting your life in jeapordy) a taxi actually slowed down and let me cross safely. I felt like stopping him and giving him a tip. Rio traffic is something to behold. DO NOT EVER consider renting a car and driving in Rio, unless you are an adventure thrill seeker.

The Atlantico now feels like home. Many of the guys tried the Royal Rio, as I did last May, and to a man they all agreed that the Atlantico, while not as new or spiffy, was the preferable place to stay. They treat us like family. Maria, our maid gave me a beautiful blue fish and a handmade wash cloth with my name on it. She really looked after us.

La Maison was my favorite beach cafe. Located at the cornor of Santa Clara and Atlantico, it is the friendliest restaurant in Rio. If you go, ask to be seated at a table that Jaon is the waiter. Tell him that you know Lloyd and Wan Hallen and he will treat you like long lost family. Por Cao in Flamingo is not to be missed. We went 4 times and by our last visit we had our own special table with extraordinary waiters. The first thing the waiters teach you is to use the green/red cards. Green means more Meat, and red means you have had your fill. As long as it is on the green side, the waiters bring meat non stop on skewers and plates.

Had fun with Wan Hallen. I took one of the cards home with us. That night at the Atlantico, I took the card out and turned it on the green side. I explained to Wan Hallen that green meant Sim Sexo and red meant Nao Sexo. As quickly as I turned it green, he turned it red. Do not read anything into this little game as my bebito made sure that I did not have much energy left for any sauna excursions. We both liked morning sexo, as we usually stayed out until at least 2 AM. Only made it to breakfast 4 or 5 times. Had to make the choice between breakfast and naked puppy who is horny. Without saying, the breakfast buffet only won out when we had plans to do something early.

I really enjoyed Rogers. It is smaller than the Point and 117, but about the same size at Estacio. Very clean and definitely the friendlist staff of all the sanunas. Good variety of boys and not a lot of pressure. The Ponte boys offer too much pressure and tend to latch onto you. Do not be intimidated into not saying that you are not interested. I also loved 117. The boys there are in one word, stunning. If any of you have been watching Bravo and the Male Model contest, the boys at 117 are every bit as gorgeous, and they are all walking around with a towel and in many cases a hard dick. I went with Luciano on my last visit and he is truly a stud puppy. The title, in my humble opinion of the best sex in Rio still goes to Anderson. He is such a beautiful stud, and so sweet. Completely versatile, you are the focus of his attention.

It is getting late and will continue my ramblings tomorrow on my various thoughts of Rio and my time there with meu bebito. He called me today to let me know his solidade for me. He made it back home to his mai and Uruacu. I do love him so.

  • 3 weeks later...

Just got a call from Wan Hallen wishing me a Feliz Natal. He said that he was very happy and that he was with his family. The only thing that made him sad was that I was in the US and not with him. That got me to reflect on just how much Brasil has changed my life. I now have many new friends, both American and Brasilian that have added so much to my life. It is so very difficult to describe the effect that Brasil can have on you. The closest thing I can come up with is that it is like having magic "fairy" dust sprinkled all over you, completely changing your attitude and outlook on life. Brasil has liberated me and has given me something to look forward to in life. I am far more free in Brasil than I can ever hope to feel here in Arizona. Yes, Brasil has its problems. But for all its problems, her people are far more happy than the average American.

It has been almost a month since I have been with Wan Hallen. I miss him every moment. I even miss him claiming 90% of the bed (at least he holds on to me and I do not fall off the bed). I miss him telling me that he is not hungary and by the time we get to the restaurant, he is ordering "batatas fritas" as a quick start to dinner. I miss him telling me that if he did not love me that he would not have traveled fifteen hundred miles to get to Rio to be with me for a month. I miss taking him shopping and seeing how excited he gets. I miss him telling me that I can go to the saunas, but if he catches me going to a cabine, he is returning home to his Mai. (The key word is "catch"). God I miss meu bebito. But I also miss all the other things about Brasil, especially the people. If any of you get to my favorite beach restaurant, La Maison, tell Jao hello.

Those of you who have been to Brasil, know exactly how I feel. Those of you thinking about or actually have planned a trip, expect close to a life, or at the very least, an attitude changing experience. I can all but guarantee that you will not be the same.

Merry Christmas or politically correct Happy Holidays, and I hope to see many of you next year, not in Jerusalem, but in Brasil.

Big Daddy,

You've expressed my feelings exactly. And since I have now acquired a non-garoto boyfriend down in Rio, those longings have even intensified. There is a word he taught me and uses in our e-mails frequently - saudade. Paz a voce.

Big Daddy,

Since you have found the love of your life in Wan Hallen and he is I assume committed just to you, why do you still run around with other boys in the saunas? Especially, when you only have short periods of time when you are in Brazil with your Wan Hallen. Why risk losing a true love for a 20 minute romp in a cabine?
