At the beginning of the night, I can choose who I have sex with.

But, if I haven't earned a single buck after a few hours, I get panicky.

I think about the future. I don't want to be just another sauna boy selling himself when he gets older.

When you're a sex worker, you learn how to deal with people.

So you must try to feel what he wants, not ask what he wants.

If you ask too many questions, you break the fantasy of the client and he won't come back.

If you go only thinking about cash, you are lost.

I began by chance. People used to stop me and offer money for sex.

So I realized how to earn some money, and I really needed the money.

I want to make money, to go to school.

Sometimes we show our cocks, our asses, our abs, our pecs.

They look at you and you look back.

There is some seduction when they look at you.

You must pretend you are interested in them.

We cannot be picky.

But, if the guy wants something weird, we don't have to accept.

I want to pay my rent... my college, my car...

You can't get involved.

I see a lot of people get involved with one client.

I would stop doing it because I would feel bad about doing

it with so many others.

It's better to do it, then say good bye, but if you liked it, you can call me again.

Of course I feel pleasure, why shouldn't I?

They ask what I do, what is the price.

If you are in the business, it's for the money or for the kicks.

No one needs to work this way. If you are in it, you like it.

I want to do school eventually, but I want to earn money.

If you are in it, you like it, there are a lot of regular jobs.

I make my money now.

School can be done at any age. I want to have fun now.

I'm in it only for the money.

I don't like it, but sometimes it's fun.

I haven't had any good oportunities in life so I became a sauna boy.

Today, what we do is ok.

I need the money to survive.

but tomorrow, who knows?

...supposedly a realistic portrayal excerpted from the movie "Brazil by Night"

Well, I am not sure why you were expecting a reply. I read the original post as lifted dialog from a film about escorts.

I think the reason there has been no reply is because the confessions state very simply what is reality. Many of the men who have sex with us in this environment, do so because of the money. Fairly straight forward (no pun intended) and not requiring any real response that focuses on an issue that might cause insecurity and pain to some.

I was not surprised at the lack of responses. I am sure we have all been with guys who just went through the motions. I am reminded of the thread which posted how an escort sees a client as a picture of an ATM machine. I still laugh when I think of it. Was that a Donnie post?

I'll have to admit I had some second thoughts about this post and it was not intended to cause pain or diminish anyone's fantasy about the boys in Brazil.

Maybe no one wants to talk about it, but there are emotional side effects as well as financial side affects - such as a boy stealing from you.

IMHO, stealing one's heart is more devastating than stealing one's wallet. In any event, it was both therapy and educational to me since the movie was filmed in Rio and I wanted to share with someone -- maybe Oprah's site would have been better :-) -- not to say that it is representative of all the boys there, but it seemed real to me.

The negative was that a lot of them are in it for money, the positive was that they are enjoying what they're doing, otherwise, they wouldn't be doing it. Some are even willing to commit to one person. It seems to me that knowing where they come from, would help one build a longer lasting relationship with one of these boys and could possibly avoid some emotional and financial pain.

Hope I didn't offend anyone.

To the contrary, your posting was not offensive. In fact it was very moving.

Where can the film you discussed in your post be seen or purchased or rented? I looked at IMDB.com and it was not listed. I called Blockbuster, still no listing.

Thanks

Reality not offensive

I absolutely was not offended. I hope that my reply was not perceived as heavy handed. To this point I have only made one trip to RIO (although I leave two weeks from today for my second visit.)

On my visit, I spent very little time (one sauna the first night, two saunas the second night) at the saunas. I met Alex the second night, not at a sauna , but at Corujinhas. Since I spent the bulk of my time in RIO with him, I didn't really have that much interaction with sauna guys. I am aware that my experience was different from most. You original post did make me want to see the film your list was taken from and I will be on the lookout for it.

Hi Jackhammer, No I didn't feel you were heavy handed at all. It WAS kind of restating the obvious. Have a great time in Rio for your second trip, mine was in May. Look forward to hearing the details.

Have to explain, I have a good friend that was a bit hurt recently. After anticipating his next visit and being with this boy he had met before, buying him presents, calling him on his cell phone, etc. only to find out after he arrived that the boy was much more interested in the money than even his friendship.

When I sent him the post, it made him feel better by putting things more into perspective.

imrthr, you will NOT find this movie at Blockbuster! :-)

But this movie is a bit unique since it is a sex flick filmed in documentary style (in their own words). It could be entirely fictional. I'' admit I created the post more for food for thought.

And I'll have to admit, the sex scenes made it more enjoyable lifting the subtitles!

Take care guys and have a great time in Rio! Hope to meet you there soon.
