Directions

Using the Atlantico as a reference point, would one of you guys who are in Rio alot please give directions to each of the Saunas, for we guys that may like to walk. Pointe, Estacio, Rogers, 117. It would be a great help. Yes, I know, take a taxi, but maybe the exercise would do us good and you never know about the scenery along the way.

No need to take a taxi and also not very much exercise involved. From Atlantico, you are two blocks from 202 (on the same street) and around the corner from Rogers and Estacao. Also, from Atlantico you take a 15 minute subway to Gloria and walk one block to Club 117. See Trilingual's definitive post on this topic for specific addresses and locations.

These have been printed before, but here is a quick guide you can print and cut out and stick in your wallet!

 

Estacau---

Walk out the front door of the Atlantico, look across the street diagonally at the Hamburger Place with the bright Red and Yellow sign,on Tonelero, stay on the same side of the street and walk almost to the end of the block. your there, 7/8 of a block from the front door of the Atlantico!

 

Pointe 202--

Walk out the front door and hang a right, walk 1/2 block you will hit a Y in the road, stay to the left of the Y(Sequiero Campos)go up two blocks, on the right hand side you will see a white wall with Blue awnings and Trim, about 20 stairs going up! your There!

 

Club 117--

Walk out the front door, go across the street to the Metro station, take the escalator downstairs and buy a "Duplo" (round trip) ticket for $4. reias. You are at the end of the line at the Siquero Campos Station, so you can't go the wrong way! Go to the sixth stop, Gloria, go up the stairs to the exit marked Gloria, when you get off the escalator, walk straight ahead to the end of the block, Rua Candida Mendes, take a left walk up about 200 feet and you will see the sign Club 117

 

SPA 73 - take a CAB!!! unless you are a experienced Rio traveller, the metro to his location is not the safest after dark, but there are cabs that pick you up at the door! Also this street...Alamieda is hard for driver to find, so tell them near "Praca de Banderia" they know where that plaza is and this is about 2 blocks from there.
