Rio Restaurants

I know there have been many posts regarding restaurants in Rio. I would like to hear from those that live in Rio and rate perhaps the best 4 they know of. Not the most expensive but ones that have really good food, and or great salads.

Cipriani's - Expensive (by Rio standards) but divine. Superlative food and service.

 

Confeitaria Colombo - Moderate. Lunch buffet is lavish and delicious. Excellent salads and desserts.

 

Amir - Moderate. Lebanese food as good as it gets. Includes many salad type dishes.

 

Trattoria - Inexpensive, friendly, good Italian food. No credit cards.

 

Iemanjá - Moderate, delicious Bahian food. In Ipanema near Praça Osório.

 

Pax Emporium - Moderate. Tasty creative dishes. Good salads. Views to die for (Sugarloaf and Botafogo Bay). In Botafogo Praia Shopping.

 

McDonald's - Cheap. Burgers. Same drop-dead views as Pax Emporium if you go to the branch in Botafogo Praia Shopping (or to any of the other places in the food court upstairs).
