Memorial Day Weekend in Rio

Gulliver and I made it here on Thurs, and are leaving tomorrow but the short trip was worth it! The fact that we are coming back down in 2-1/2 weeks again for 10 days made the short trip more fun as I didn't feel I had to run around like crazy for the 4-1/2 days I am here, although I guess that's relative! lol

We got here Thurs at noon and even though I didn't sleep on the overnight flight here, I couldn't take a nap, so at 4:00 headed downtown to SPA 73. It has become my favorite sauna, it's not the largest and not the newest, but everyone there is so friendly. The two women that own/manage it are really nice, when myself and a friend who was there from L.A. went to leave, the ladies went back into the kitchen and insisted that we have some of their homemade spaghetti! But I am digressing, I know you guys are not looking to read about the food there!

There were about 10 guys there, it was early yet with most of them arriving after 6:00 when there were about 20. I sat in the bar for about 10 min. when one of the guys walked in and jumped up on the "dancing pole" in the corner and smiled and started taking his towel off, I took that as a que that we should probably go upstairs to a room. He was so much fun that I invited him back to the apartment for the next day. He showed up in Kahki slacks and polo shirt, looking very much like any preppy guy on a Univ. campus in the U.S. I then left SPA 73 and went to 117 as it's on the way back to Copa. There were about 25 guys there, and again I saw a guy who I had never seen before, he was also a lot of fun and I invited him back to the apartment for the next day. I now have a 1:00 and a 3:00 set up and this is where I should have started writing thing down...

I then went to Estacao where I ran into Kiwa or Cowa, tall, lean, gdlkg guy who I had seen before, but had never gone with. So I went up with him. He was great! BTW, all of these guys were/are versatile, and very interactive and it goes without saying, GREAT KISSERS!

There are about 8 M4M's down here right now, so we all ended up at Corujinhas at 11:30. It was busy as usual there and after enjoying the socializing, found a very hot guy to go back to the apartment for the night. First day in Rio and already well worth the long flight.

Friday and Sat. were repeats of Thurs. except I went to Pointe 202, which had about 30 - 35 guys there. I have gotten to like both spa 73 and 117 better then Pointe because Pointe gets so crowded and the boys are definitly getting pushier because of the competition. 117 get about the same number of guys, 30 + but it's a larger space much more spread out then Pointe. But all of the places had hot guys.

Today, we are going to the Sunday Brunch at Copacabana Palace, if you havent' been to it, it is definily worth it! It is expensive compared most other meals in Rio, about $40. U.S. per person. It's in a room looking out on the pool and also has tables outside by the pool, very elegent and amazing types of food. It's a buffet type service.

Tonight I am going to 117, as Sunday is usually a good day, since they are closed on Mondays, so it's the last day the guys can make money before coming back on Tues, which is all "free cabine" night at 117.

Unfortunately this trip there will be no pics to post as my digital camera, is not working, you can hear a part rattling around inside, probably in shock from all the pics I took! lol

I will be back down here June 18th to 28th., along with 8 other Americans. This trip and next I have stayed at Gullivers Apartment which has worked out really well, great location, about 3 blocks from the Atlantico, it has three bedrooms, 2 baths, and large living and dining room. He even put several chairs in the Hallway with a magazine rack for my problem of "double booking"!! LOL Although this trip I didn't do that, although one time the guy that was here and taking a really long shower, knew that I had someone else coming over and was stalling so he could see who it was. Lucky Gulliver has 2 entrances to the Apt. so you can bring one guy in the front door while one of my friends is sending the first guy out the service entrance!

I have a feeling this is going to be grist for the mill of some latter-day Feydeau, who's going to stage a very modern Carioca bedroom farce using all this material! Slamming doors, misunderstandings, the whole bit! :7

Glad to hear you are having a good time. That seems to happen in Rio. I am disappointed about the camera. I was hoping to see more of your pics.

 

The brunch at Copacabana Palace sounds very good, I will have to check that out.

 

Since you will be going back again next month I hope we will hear about your adventures at that time too.

Tom will not let you down; when he first posted and recanted his adventures in Rio, he sparked my interests to journey to South America, especially to Brasil. From then on it's been his communication here, his emails to me, our two telephone conversations, and our meeting in person last October which seemed to have sparked some type of tacit bond. I definitely appreciated his guidance which he lent to me at the M4M Soiree Party 2, at Pointe 202 as well as his advice extended via t-phone before my first visit to the "land of the cariocas"!

 

So, man, you will not have to worry about the TomCal sagas and updates! He'll keep us apprised about all of the guys with his infinite wisdom, fun, and concerns! Undoubtedly, he'll come through for all! :9 "It's all been good"-- as they say! :9

Last night Luis, the co-owner of Pointe took me to dinner. We went to a great restaurant I would highly recommend. It's in Leblon,right next to Ipenema on Atlantico Ave. overlooking the Ocean. It's in the Hotel Marina. There are two towers to this hotel about 100 yds apart, they both have their own lobby's and restaurants. This is in the second Tower as you are heading south from Copa/Ipenema on Atlantico. This place on the weekends is packed with Rio TV personalities and "fashionable" yuppies, so avoid it on Fridays and Saturdays when there is long waits, although is does have a great bar. The beach is lit with floodlights there, so the views, especially last night with the high surfn and crashing waves was really nice. The Menu is in both Portuguese and English. I never could find out what the restaurant name was , I even took a match box from the restaurant, but it just has the hotel info on it. Here it is:

Just go into the Escorts South FAQ section. You'll find information about hotels. Also use the "search" function within the Message Center (limiting your search to the Escorts South forum) to find other postings about hotels. If you decide to stay at the Royal Rio or Atlântico, I'd suggest making your reservations through Carlo Romano (romanusrj@uol.com.br), a travel agent many of us use who has worked out favorable rates for M4Mers at these popular hotels.

I want to second Tri's recommendation of Carlo! I am planning a 2 month (September & October) trip to Brazil. Carlo is taking care of ALL the arrangements within Brasil - trip to Iguacu, 2 trips to Sao Paulo, a 5 - 7 day Peacock Bass fishing trip up the Amazon, etc., etc. Just let Carlo know what you want (and who you want) and it will be done. He even arranged to have a special birthday greeting delivered to my friend Michel, who lives 50km outside Rio. Carlo, if you read this - don't let me down!!

Yesterday was my last day and I had to leave for the airport at 7:00pm. At 3:45 I went to Estacau and there were about 6 or seven guys already there, including one I had noticed several days before but had not had a chance to talk to...I was too busy running up and down the stairs to the rooms! lol

When you are the only guy in the place with 6 or 7 boys there working, you get alot of attention very fast. I took a seat on the stool right outside the video room as they like to walk in there play with their dicks and then walk out supposedly adjusting their towel, but showing you their hardon! We went upstairs and when I told him I was "activo", he said "no problem" that seems to be one English phrase all the boys in Rio know! I had a great time with him and then I left to go over to Pointe as I had promised to meet a guy over there the previous night at Corujinhas.

Pointe had about 10 guys there by 4:45, and including the one I had made the "date" with. We got done and it was about 6:00 and while I had time before I had to walk back to the apt., it is only about 10 min. from pointe, I decided to leave and maybe shower before catching a cab. As I walked out of Pointe I heard someone across the street yelling "Dom, Dom" (Tom seems to always come out Dom), all of the sudden their is a hand on my shoulder and it's Julio, one of my favorite guys in Rio, who I had not seen this trip. He is both a Brazilian Golden Gloves champion, having toured Europe and Saudi Arabia in Tournaments last year, but also the current Rio "street fighting" Champion in his weight class. He is taking me to one of the tournments when I am back in 3 weeks. For those of you on our yahoo group, his pics are in their from the March trip. I told him I was just leaving to go the apartment to get my bags, say goodbye to Gulliver and leave for the airport. He says "no time for Sex?" I of course replied "there is always time for sex". He says " I will drive you to the airport", it appears more and more of the boys are doing well enough to afford cars. He drives me to the apartment, we go up, pack the last of the bags and have some quick sex before leaving for the airport. Traffic was bad because of 3 different accidents, so when it wasn't moving, we fooled around, he told me his side and back windows are tinted enought so that no one could see in, so between kisses and playing with dicks, it was sure a lot better ride to the airport then I had anticpated before I ran into him! I told him I much rather pay him then a taxi. Previously Breno had always taken me to the airport, but he is now down in Sao Paulo working at Lagoa.

This was the first time in my 10 trips to Rio that I was not sad about leaving, since I knew I would be back in 17 days! The quick 4-1/2 day trip from the west coast, was not tiring, but that may be due to adreneline!

One recommendation for those of you who travel on American Airlines. If you join the Admirals club, the lounge in both Rio and S.P. are both great to wait for your flights. Since I am always going direct from the sauna to the airport}( ...I check in and then go to the Admirals Club to shower and change for the flight. The Rio club has very nice private shower rooms with towels, shampoo, soaps, dryers, provided.

Hank, go back and read the posts for the past two years on Rio, there is a Ton of advise on everything from Hotels to proper etiquette in the suanas!! If you have a specific question, the guys on here will be great about helping you out!
