Rio Governer Closes ALL Rio Gay Suanas!!

Now that I have all you attention, and probably given a few guys heart attacks!!! Just Kidding! We haven~t been able to post since we got here last Friday...there has been too much sight seeing to do!!

First, several of us have gone back to Spa 73 which is downtown, and IMHO, well worth the trip! this is a older, fun sauna, with the majority of the guys working there, being the leaner/swimmer/gymnist type build, and more European/Latin look. If you are looking for bodybuilders, stick to 117 or Pointe, you won~t find them here. Age range seems to be predominately 19 - 24, the 2 older women that work behind the desk are extremely customer service oriented and they make sure a cab is waiting for you at the front door when you leave. Several of us felt that the atmosphere here is a little more laid back/relaxed. They have a long narrow bar area with a cushioned bench that runs the whole length of the room with small tables in front. The rooms, especially the slighly more expensive gold room is really the nicest I have seen in rio saunas.

i have a apptm so will continue this tomorrow, but it has been great with many new guys in the saunas and we found a very upscale, gay restaurant in Ipenema, which I highly recommend.

I'm ok with this, for I received a special email from one of your friends who stated why I would perhaps have my thread go without of any responses from you and others!

 

I thought CarloRio stated in one of his past threads that this sauna Spa73 had guys who were principally of Afro-Brasilian origin! :9 Perhaps I've confused this sauna with another one. Rio adventures, pt. 2

 

Last night 6 of us went to spa 73 again , early, around 4:30 and stayed until about 8:00 and then went to Pointe. 73 was very good again last night, in fact, I think I was starting to fall in Love!!!(his name is Rodrigo and he is coming over for lunch today), but my Amigos dragged me out of there and I came to my senses when I got to Pointe! lol

Axiom, there was only one guy working at spa 73 out of about 15 that were there last night that was of more African/Brazilian heritage. This may just be the nights we have been there, I am not sure.

Several of us have switched hotels! We have found a brand new, very, very nice hotel that is comparable in price to the Alantico, BUT...way nicer! It is the Royal Rio Copacabana, on Duvivier, about a block north and one block west of the the Copacabana Palace. It has just opened with all the amenities you expect from a upscale hotel, excellent restaurant, Central A/C(no noisy window a/c) beautiful rooftop pool, fitness center and business/internet center, King size beds, thermopane windows so no street noise, etc.

We negotiated a business rate of 170. reias a night through July, and at that time they will re-evaluate how many nights we stayed and if it~s worth it to keep giving us the rate. They have king size beds:P And Yes, you can bring guys back. I have tested that out frequently in the last 3 days!! The one caveat, if you bring someone back late from Corujinhas, if they are in a sleeveless tank top, and sandals, etc, it might not be easy to get them in, but if they are dressed presentably, T type shirt, shorts or jeans and sneakers, no problem. I want to reiterate, this is the equivilent of a 5 star hotel, not a place where you can have 4 sauna boys sitting in the lobby waiting for you at one time! That would draw unwanted attention.

I will post the contact information later, there is a specific person that you need to speak to in reservations to get this rate.

the Hotel is in a very nice area of Copa and one block from the Arcoverde metro stop which is the next one after Siquiero Campos by the Atlantico. It is farther from pointe and Estacou, about 8 blocks or a $3.00 reias cab ride and there are many cabs by this hotel. The next street up is the antique center and where there are rows of stores. the beach is 1-1/2 blocks east of the hotel. It is about the same distance from Corujinhas as the Atlantico. Also this hotel is one block from a sex motel, so if you took a guy there, you have a very short walk back to your room and it~s a very upscale neigborhood, in fact, one of the top restaurants in Rio, the Oceano($$$), is across the street

Ok, now to the Sex!! There are so many new faces in the saunas!!!

}( along with many of the old favorites. Gulliver,Robbguy,Florida Robb,luckyelpaso and Jake along with 5 other M4M~s are here. Also we have met several other Americans that are not M4M's, but are here to enjoy the sauna life. Pointe has first suite free on Tues.nights now, to compete with 117, also on Weds and Thurs nights, reduced rates. To draw more boys in,they have dropped their admission from $10 to $5. whcih seems to have made a difference, last night on Weds. there were at least 35 -40 guys working at Pointe.

Last night at Corujinhas, there must have been at least 50 guys standing around, about 1/2 suana guys I recognized and 1/2 new faces.

The first night here I pícked up one of the guys working the street and went back for a overnight and it was great...but again to those of you who haven~t as much experience in Rio, stick to suana boys, I always talk to one of my "local" friends to get a reference before I invite any guy back. to be continued......

I have to admit that I continue to marvel on your ability to review almost every eligible boy in Rio. The new hotel sounds interesting. I have already told Wan Hallen to meet me at the Atlantico when I arrive on April 30th, so I will keep my reservation. We have a three bedroom condo which is on the 23rd floor of Mundo do Sul starting on May 2nd. It is so easy getting around via cab, that it really does not matter if you are not next door to the Point. In Los Angeles you said that you might sneak back to Rio in May while I am there. I wanted you to know that we have an extra bedroom, and all the linen is Ralph Lauren.

 

I got a jolt from Continental. Received a message to call about my reservation, something about the flight being changed. All it was is my flight from Phoenix is leaving 15 minutes later and the flight number changed. So I am all set for my reunion with Rio, and best of all with Wan Hallen. I know that it is your policy not to fall in love, but hey it does feel great.

Big Daddy, thanks for the offer, yes I am going to come back down for a short 4 day trip in May and hopefully a week in June. When I get the dates confirmed I will let you know. However I will be staying at Gullivers apt, as he has been decorating this week, and I really like the way he did up the "Tomcal Suite" lol

Yesterday was another great day weather wize - 82, sunny, and boy wise, Leandro, who is on on the Brazilianmen.net site came over to the hotel for the third afternoon in a row and then later he and I went to Gulliver~s new apartment to see it and then on to Pointe. Last night at pointe(Thurs)I got there at 5:00pm and it was me and 20 boys, no other customers had arrived yet. I know this type of situation is uncomfortable for some M4M's, but for me it~s great!!LOL

I picked out Julio first as he had come there early to meet me as we had talked the day before, He is the current Rio kick boxing champion and combines a almost perfect body/handsome face, with a really sweet personality. and like all the guys here, kisses passionately! By the time we came back down stairs there were some other customers there, although none of my American friends were there yet, and a total of about 30 working guys.

They had a stripper show with 5 guys and have installed a big screen tv behind the stage, where they were playing the video of Cher's last tour.

Three of the guys I met last night at 202 were new, I had never seen before, and while in the past I would say that typically at the suanas the guys run the same average percentages in terms of dick size as they do here, this week has seen a amazing increase in the number of guys with 9" dicks, being displayed all over the saunas!!

There must have been at least 10 guys last night with huge dicks! One guy at pointe who is new there, but used to work up until two years ago at Rogers and then moved in with someone and didnt escort anymore is back. I have to go, there is a 1:00 appt. today. back next Monday, so by Monday night should have some pics posted.

BTW, the name of the restaurant in Ipenema that I highly recommend is called "Fork", I will post the address later but it~s a block north of Rua Farme, and a block in from the beach, again, it~s small, upscale, gay, but excellent food, the owner I am told has one of the best catering companies in Rio.

I am taking a afternoon break between boys! so a few quick updates.

We are going to Spa 73 tonight, although Friday nights are a difficult choice(I was going to say "hard" choice, but know your evil minds!) All the suanas have parties, Estacau is very good as is 117, but spa 73 is putting on a big stripper show at 8:00 so we are going there at 6:00 then at 8:45 heading back to Estacau for their 9:00 show, Although I have to admit that I very seldom see much of the shows as that is a great time to take of couple of the guys to a room, everyone is busy watching the shows, the rooms are empty and the boys would rather be making money with you then watching the show }(

For those of you on the yahoo group, pics with recommendations will be posted monday night, something like a zaget 5 star rating, although I can tell you right now, there are no zero or 1 star guys yet!! something like: 5 stars = mortgage the house if you have to, but spend time with him! 4 stars = definitly make time to meet him. 3 stars = fun guy, don~t go out of your way but if you run into him in the sauna, worth $50. reias. 2 stars - dick gets hard but he doesn't do much 1 star = AVOID

the warning label with these recommendations is: these are my personal exp., not all boys do all things with everyone. Last night 2 of us went to Spa 73, while the rest of the group went to either 117 or Pointe. Spa 73 was very busy, but we were the only Americans there, which turned out to be lucky for me! While my American friend was upstairs, the MC running the show, had one of the strippers lay naked on a table and covered him with pudding. In the pudding was hidden several small plastic tokens of different colors. The purpose was to have audience members come up and lick the pudding and try to find a token! Your time in line at the airport might go faster if you made a list of all of the boys you have encountered sexually on this trip, then organized it into body types, dick sizes, personalities, etc. Then you could try to rate the boys in order of preference, or by order of whom you would see first on a return visit.

Glad to see you're giving the "Tomcal seal of approval" to Spa 73. It was always my favorite. The guys are more "the guy next door" type and friendly and less aggressive. The ladies at the front are quite nice as well. It's just so damn hard to get to!

We took a taxi twice and the cab drivers never could find it on the first or second try! They always had to ask other drivers. The key is to tell the driver Plaza Bandero, it's only 1 block from there and they know where that is. Rua Almeida is the street diagonally to the left from that intersection. We also took the subway to the Estacao Stop downtown and then a cab only about a 1.5 miles to the suana. the drivers downtown know where it is. here's the link and it shows the "gold" suite, which is worth the 10. extra reias over the std. room!
