For those of you who are going to be in Rio during Carnival, you may be interested in the following:

Tickets are still available for the Carnival parades, as are some opportunities to actually get into costume and take part in one of the parades! (An unforgettable experience, especially if you always dreamed of being a player in a Busby Berkeley spectacular! I did it once, years ago, and it's still an indelible memory.) Contact Carlo Romano for information. Several of us, including Gulliver and myself, will be going to the Parade of Champions that closes the Carnival festivities, but there are still seats available for the competitive parades that kick off Carnival and attract the attention of millions of Brazilians!

The escort-studded end-of-Carnival cruise on the gorgeous island-strewn bay south of Rio is happening again this year. A number of M4Mers went last year and posted some mouth-watering descriptions of their adventures! (You know who you are, guys!) For info, contact Alex at the Apollus Agency.

Of course, the usual events (shows, strippers, and men, men, men) will be going on at all the saunas, and the M4M gang will continue meeting evenings at Corujinha for relaxation and de-briefing! :D Carnival is pretty frenetic, and it's not for everyone, but it's the absolute climax of the summer high season. It's worth experiencing, at least once, for all the glitz, dazzle and silliness!
