I have advertisers in the USA that pay for this sort of advertising and they would never even think to take the advantage you are taking.

Email me about rates and we can talk

But no more free adversiting from you guys.

And I hope my moderator will delete these attempts as soon as they happen.

If one's responses are not going to be accepted, write as such instead of retaining our avatars and including your message. I do not believe in censorship. If you wish for no one to discuss his experiences or make suggestions, then change the rules of the board! AXIOM2001x(

Hooboy's sandbox

Axiom,

I am afraid I have to disagree with you on this one. Having a thread which is strictly for advertising purposes is (in my view) outside the perameters of what constitutes free speech. As such, it can be altered any way the owner sees fit. If the thread had been an opinion of the upcoming cruise from , say, a poster who had attended cruises in the past, maybe the line would be a little clearer.. It is absolutely within Hooboy's right to force companies who advertise directly to be edited and thereby increase his revenue stream to offset the cost of posted ads. He gets to choose. It's his sandbox. I believe somewhere there is a FAQ posting about ads versus threads (not sure where or even if it is still there.)

There's been a lot of talk about censorship here lately and it always raises hackles when the subject comes up. But, editing or even deleting a post and leaving the avatar along with an explanation doesn't really fit the bill. You can argue whether it's good business to handle the ad posting this way, but, I don't think it's censorship, more likely, it is editing to conform to policy.

Anyway, love you brother, but that's my take.

You want me to negotiate rates on line so you can see how I operate?

Okay....

I will let any of these guys advertise all they want and I will not censor, but I want access to their books and I get 49% of their profits. Hell, lets make it 80%. I changed my mind.

I don't see Campus Escorts, or Premier,or the Agency in Chicago or any number of the other advertisers pulling such nonsense.

And I might add, they pay ON TIME.

With this board being down, my servers and a motherboard having to be replaced, a guy who makes more than a lawyer but because of the economy has been suffering yet has devoted his time to this place for free, I don't think that is a lot to ask.

BTW, I hired one of his guys. I paid full rate and I gave him a $100 USA tip.

This affair was indeed great in 2003 and should be greater this year; I found out about the cruise from Apollus's site, not this one. One guy who told his friends about the cruise had no idea that they would be in Brasil during this time and join him on this trip for a day. Since he had done verbal recruiting-- he won a bottle of very good champagne and a hottie-- Caique. I have superb (non digital) photos of this trip and will forever remember my day at sea amongst the cariocas and other international guys!
