Can anyone provide any information about any gay scene ...

While I'm in Brazil I plan to go to the falls. Can anyone share information about any saunas, bars,and boys? It will make the beautiful scenery even better.

In another post, Carlo Romano said there's one gay bar and one sauna in the Iguassu area (I don't know if the sauna operates with escorts or whether it's just a regular gay sauna). The Triple Frontier area (of which Foz de Iguaçu is the largest city) combined probably has a population of about 400,000 people, so it's big enough to have some gay life, but not so large that there will be a huge gay scene! Also, being a relatively small area, among the locals everyone knows everyone else, so many local gays are closeted or keep a low profile.

 

If you stay at one of the hotels in the national parks, or close to them, you will be some way outside of town. That also is an impediment to checking out local night life. If you're only going to be at the falls for one night, you probably are going to be too tired after a day of sightseeing to go all the way into town and then all the way back to the hotel! If you're spending a longer time in the area, or you're staying at a hotel directly in town, that's another story.

 

Carlo's posting mentioned that his company has a guide available in Foz who can show you what there is of local gay nightlife. I'd suggest contacting Carlo and taking advantage of his guide's knowledge.
