Going to RIO

Oh boy, this sure is a happy day. FULL funding is now in place for going to RIO next month. It has almost killed me putting it together after so many set backs, but boy, howdy...I AM GOING TO RIO!!!!

All that and my old avatar is back...Does it get any better than this? I am buying a lotto ticket for tonight just to see if luck holds. See you all next month...

I just finalized my reservation on Continental to arrive in Rio on Thursday the 24th of October. Am going to LA next week to visit the Consulate for my visa. I am hoping that I can get the visa while I am in LA (just for two days, Tuesday & Wednesday). I have never traveled internationally (Mexico & Canada don't count)and so this is really a new adventure for me. I will be reviewing all the info posted on the board and I am sure I will be well prepared. The fact that so many guys from M4M will also be there considerably increases my confidence level.

LA Brazilian Consulate VISA in two days!

 

Big Daddy, let un know if you succeeded in getting the Visa in two days and how much extra it cost! I will be trying to do that, as well about Sept 23, Gods willing! :9

Ticket purchased

 

Today I purchased a ticket via united departing LAX To Dulles and then on to Rio. I paid more than I had expected, but I'm glad to have been able to route through Dulles as they have smoking lounges for those of us social pirriah (sp) who still smoke. Next stop, the Brazilian consulate. IT's really going to happen. Man, hard to believe I could be this excited for so long...who needs Viagra!.
