After my "Portuguese language lesson" last night, that is on another post here, I got home after midnight(Sun) and had to get up early to leave for Honolulu today for business. I got into Honolulu at 4:00 got to the hotel and did some work and then had dinner, ....I know, your thinking "what has this got to do with South of the Border?" just wait.... So about 9:00pm I head over to Hulas, which is conviently located close to the "W" hotel where I stay here when i come over for work. I get there and since it's a Monday night, it's slow, maybe 20 - 25 guys there. I order a drink and go sit on the window ledge close to the pool table(which has been lucky for me in the past!) Within 2 mins., a Latin looking guy walks over and sits down next to me and says "do you play pool"? I go " I do, but I am not very good at it", he asks me where I am from and then tells me he's from S.F. but lives in Hi, 6months of the year and just got divorced from a Hawaiian women!! So we make small talk and then he says, "I am from Bolivia" ...I start thinking, Hmm...that's one of the few countries in So.America I havent' done someone from!!}( the only other ones being Suriname and Guyana!lol) We order a drink, and then out of the blue he says "do you need to finish that or can we go to your hotel?" I, being the polite person I am , Chug it and say "would you like to see my hotel?"

I am thinking, do I have a tatoo on my forehead that says "Latins to the front of the line?" Who would have thought I would meet a Latin guy in Honolulu! BTW, for someone who was married, he sure is a good bttm!! (Mavica, are you taking note of this!!!)

I have to fly to Kona tomorrow for the day for business, but am definitly making it back to Hula's tomorrow night!!

I consider myself lucky because Tomcal called me yesterday just as he was arriving at his hotel. We had a nice conversation but it was cut short. What are the odds indeed? I would say they are much better than even money. What are the odds that I would be the last M4Mer to talk to him before he ravaged yet another Latin man in the "ANY PORT I CALL HOME" saga that is Tomcal's life. Geesh. This guy makes Cassanova look like a piker.

I have never been to Hawaii but read several years back that early in the 20th century, when the pineapple industry was getting started, many workers were recruited from Puerto Rico to work on the plantations there. I often have wondered what beauties of mixed Puerto Rican (who have to be the most beautiful men on earth) and Hawaiian ancestry must be there. The young man who you met doesn't come from that background, but I'm sure somewhere....

Ok, I know you guys are not going to believe this, but I swear it's the truth!! It's 3:00a.m.THurs morning and I just got back to the room. I met a M4M for dinner tonight who is going to Rio in Oct. we had a nice dinner and he seems like a really good guy who is just slutty enough to fit in with us!!lol. After we finished about 8:30 I headed back to Hulas to have a drink and I thought relax for awhile....Wrong!! It got very busy around 10:00, I was sitting on the ledge next to the large open windows and there were 3 guys from London next to me and we started talking(just hold on, i am getting to the "latin" part!) Then a Doctor I know here came in and he sat on the other side of me and started talking. While I was going back and forth talking to the london guys and the Doc I noticed a stunning guy in a very tight white muscle shirt and shorts who was wearing a baseball cap. He definitly had the best body in the place and was really handsome and again looked Latin to me. He kept looking over our way with a smile on his face, but I couldn't tell who he was looking at and assumed it was someone behind or next to us, as he seemed to know quite a few of the guys in the bar. After about 1/2 hour more, I stood up to say goodbye to the guys and this guy looked over,said something to his friend and they went out the door. When I got outside about 30 seconds later they were just standing there talking and as I walked by he said "Can I ask you how old you are?" I said sure, but usually I get asked how tall I am?(being 6'4", I get it all the time)He said my favorite numbers are 35, 8 and 6. I go why?

He said, I never date anyone under 35, or that is less then 6 years older then me and I am 34, and you can probably figure out what the 8 is for!....I go BINGO!! He said, "we are heading over to Angles, another bar near by where are you going?" I was headed back to my hotel, but since I had only had 2 drinks, I had the presence of mind to say, "Yeah, I was thinking of going there too" 5 minutes later we are there and he sits next to me and I say "so where are you from, what's your nationality?" He goes, "I grew up in South America, My Mother is Spanish and my Dad is Portuguese , I am thinking, Ok, there really is a GOD!!

I try to act relaxed(my heart is beating fast at this point) I go, well I really like Latin guys, and you are really sexy. he says thanks, so what are you doing tonight? I say "hopefully going home with you! He says "Lets go, I only live 2 blocks from Here" We went to his place and it was great! He is a pilot in the Navy, and the sad part is, I am coming back here in 6 weeks for business and he is being transferred back to Pensacola, Florida the middle of Sept.

But the morale of this story(s)is, we may have to add Honolulu to a South of the Border thread, as out of three nights here I found 2 Latin guys.

I did not see or hear of any hustlers/escorts, but some guys said the park across the street from Hulas is very cruisy after 1:00am It seems like it's very easy to hook up here(the London guys invited me back, but that was not to be!)...I got to get to bed!

Actually, Tomcal is BETTER than reality television. For one thing, he's actually REAL! For another, he's having such a good time it's hard not to enjoy hearing about it! But I have wondered about the wear-and-tear on his, um, appendage. I don't know about falling off, but isn't there a danger of callouses? :+

I'm no Tomcal but.....

 

I will never pass for Tomcal, but met today with a brazilian guy I met through a profile site (you know which one Tom) and he is tutoring me in Portuguese, among other things. And yes, we did get to the tutoring. Portuguese is very similar to spanish in some respects (pronounciation is different). I wanted to make sure that when I got there and wanted to ask "where is the bathroom" I wouldn't actually be saying "your face looks like a bathroom". Anyway, my story isn't nearly as romantic (is that even the right adjective when it comes to Tomcal (Ho)? ) Looking forward to more "lessons".
