I'd spend 4 each in Rio and BA, 2 in SP. I don't mean to give SP short shrift, but from a tourist standpoint it doesn't have as much to offer as the other two cities and you'll find you've given yourself very little time in any of these places! But hopefully you'll like them all and will return, giving yourself lots more time to enjoy their endless charms and wonders. . .

Roberto is just a Guide. He is also great company. He will give you a great History lesson about BA and her people. Adhere to his advise with regards to Hotels, Escorts etc. He is very knowledgeable and let him what your interest's are. For escorts you can go to http://www.Soytuyo.com and http://www.sensualbaires.com. There are alot of fine men here, when you have selected one or two or three let Roberto know and he will arrange every thing for you...Have a good time..gr:)

I agree with Tri regarding the number of days in each city. Roberto is excellent for arranging anything you need in BA. If you're looking for a great hotel in BA, try the Sofitel. They have an internet rate of $140 and it's 5 stars all the way. In SP, check out the Regent Park (http://www.regent.com.br). It's a 3.5 to 4 star hotel, all suite and R. Oscar Freire, which is their version of Rodeo Drive. Rates start at about $57 and it's well located. I haven't stayed there, but will the next time I go to SP. I've been in the rooms and liked it.

I also recommend Roberto. He met me at the hotel he arranged, welcomed me to his city and in addition to arranging boys I had selected from various websites (at better rates) gave me excellent walking tours and more general information which added to the trip. Although I only met him once, he was a delightful addition and would always use him on future trips,

As Roberto would advise, bundle up a bit if you're heading for Buenos Aires and SP anytime soon. It's winter in the southern hemisphere, and temperatures have been near freezing at night. SP doesn't get quite that cold, but it's up in the mountains and can also get chilly at night, especially when there's a fine cold drizzle (a local specialty called "garoa"). Take a sweater or two and some kind of a jacket so you can layer. If you're the dressy type you can wear a blazer in B.A., and even an overcoat! The Porteños do! During the day, if the sun's out, it can be quite pleasant (in the 60s or 70s) but the temperatures can plunge at night. Fortunately, really cold weather usually only lasts for a few days at a time and then it returns to more pleasant temperatures, but it can be quite variable this time of year, so be prepared!

In Sao Paulo I understand there are a number of good hotels for less than $40 a night. I stayed at one that was a little bit less than 20, just off Av. Paulisto, which is their main street. The name was Villagio something. It was nice, clean and you could bring in visitors.
