Why could it not have happened to me in October while I was in Brasil?

At that time I knew about Ernani and was fortunate enough to have seen him only once (although I really would have liked for him to have been my guide on more than one occasion; he and I know why this didn't happen.) (A big hug and many smiles accompany the last statement.)

 

Men--do you know that since October '02 one can seek the services of other Brasilian guides? Ernani in Rio (Although he has been quiet or has been in a different place for at least four months.) Artur Brazil aka Carlo Cox in Sao Paulo, Rio, and the latter- LA (USA), Mike from Miketur in Rio, Eduardo in Rio (Note one of TomCal's recent responses regarding email and cell phone number.) Tom from Agapollus in Rio, and last but not least--CarloRio who appeared on this board recently. All of these men except for Eduardo and Tom can be reached via their emails through the profile icon at this site.

 

We're fortunate-- especially those of us who can not converse in Spanish and/or Portuguese. Artur and I have already discussed his being my guide if I return to Brasil in October 03; I'll more than likely also contact both Eduardo and CarloRio. I have decided to begin learning some Brasilian Portuguese via the language cd's which have been alluded to on more than one occasion in this forum.

 

Do any other M4Mers know of English-speaking guides who could be of assistance and guidance in Rio, Sao Paulo, and Salvador, Bahia? I think your adding to this list would be of great help to the future newbies as well as those of us who would like fluent English-speaking guides. We'd prefer guides who did not request $100 per hr. Ernani's and Artur's and Eduardo's rates are reasonable. Thanks, guys/men!:-) :-) :-)
