I will have to spend a few days in Brasilia from April 10th...

Although I perfectly know the real scene is rather in Rio and Sao Paulo, I still hope the federal capital also gets its share of rent boy saunas...

Could anybody give me some information about the right places ?

Thanks to everybody in adavance, an especially to Trilingual, the "Brazilian saunas specialist", who could very likely help me...

Try using the search above in the white field, not the brown toolbar.

Click on "advanced search."

Enter "Brasilia" in the key word

Forum: "Escorts south..."

Field: "Subject only"

There are some postings, including the awesome Trilingual's.

My information on Brasilia isn't super-up-to-date. Try looking in http://www.guiagaybrasil.com.br Choose Brasilia from the drop-down list of cities and see what it says about saunas. If it shows an ES symbol, it has escorts. However, the symbols aren't fully reliable, because the ES doesn't appear in the listings of some saunas that definitely do have escorts. My guess is that there will be at least some working boys at any sauna in Brasilia, since there aren't that many, and there are a lot of horny, lonely and broke military recruits there.

Also look at http://www.netgay.com.br under Thermas/Saunas for listings.

The Conjunto Nacional shopping center is still cruisy, by all reports. Try late afternoon, early evening. Brasilia has grown exponentially, and there are now more than 2 million people in the metro area, so you know SOMETHING is going on!!! You can't get that many Brazilians together in one place and not have sparks flying!

P.S. If the saunas don't work out, try the classifieds in the local papers, under "Acompanhantes," "Relax," "Massagens," or similar subjects.

And be sure to report back on your discoveries there. It would be good to have an up-to-date account of the scene in Brasilia.

I've been several times to Brasilia D.F. If you're expecting to find a sauna with those gorgeous brazilian escorts in Brasilia DF you're on the wrong way !

The gay scene in Brasilia is very quiet and mostly active on weekends (Friday night and Saturday). If you're into night clubs you should try the "Garagem" - nice crowd, sexy go-go boys, good music. There are several bars in the city - the most famous is Beirute (asa Sul) and Barulho (located in the Central Park - on Sundays only). You need to know that the Brazilian concept of bar is very different from what you're use to see ...

You can find a complete list of addresses here http://www.guiagaybrasil.com.br/brasilia.htm

Regarding the SAUNAS - there are few :

- Sauna Soho is closed

- New Aquarius in Setor de Diversoes Sul (SDS) ask for the Acropole building (the sauna is located down the stairs)

- "Sauna très chic" - is a brand new sauna (not listed yet) which opened just one week before the Carnival. Very clean. Located in Asa Sul quadra 713

- there is another sauna located outside the city by Tanguatinga : nice property with an outdoor pool - you need to drive there

The Escort scene is almost inexistent. Escort/Massueur ads can be found in the local paper. Although is not recommended if you don't speak the luanguage. Maybe you can try to book through an Agency. Escorts cannot be found in the saunas. The only one I saw was in Taguatingua. Hustlers can be found on the upper level in front of Setor de Diversoes Sul. Absolutely avoid this area on night-time. Trilingual mentioned Conjunto Nacional, which is one of the biggest shopping center in Brasilia. You can give it a try. I didn't notice too much action there.

If you need further information about Brasilia feel free to contact me privetly, I'll be happy to help you.

Final note : sorry about my English

Thanks, Steven, for your update! And your English is fine. Wish my French/Flemish were anywhere near as good!

A couple of things: Taguatingua is one of the satellite communities in the D.F. (Federal District) outside of the Plano Piloto, which is the part of the capital, planned by Oscar Niemeier and laid out like an airplane, that tourists ordinarily visit. To get to the sauna in Taguatingua, you could take a taxi (probably a bit expensive) or take a municipal bus to Taguatingua from the station in front of the Conjunto Nacional and then a taxi when you arrive in Taguatingua.

The Conjunto Nacional is probably cruisiest in the late afternoon/early evening on Wednesdays and weekends, in the food court area upstairs and also near the restrooms on the ground floor. At least, they were the last time I was there. Brasilia is full of lonely, horny and poor military recruits doing their obligatory service, and that's one of the places they go when they're allowed to leave the military bases. Wednesday evenings and weekends are usually when they have leave. There are also a lot of little stand-up bars in the bus station across from Conjunto Nacional where you'll find recruits. It's strictly AYOR, but those little bars and toilets in the bus station can be productive. A smile and some free beers and food will go a long way towards making friends with the recruits.

In the past, the very select Presidential Guard operated as an escort service on the side! A few years ago this came to the attention of the press, and there was a clamp-down. However, the recruits aren't paid any more than they were then, so this sideline may have revived since then. Asking locals discreetly may yield some information on the subject. Of course, if you're feeling really adventurous, you could just walk up to one, and give him a card from your hotel with your name and room number on the back, with the message "Me ligue" (call me)! If you add a couple of dollar signs to the message I'm sure he'll get the picture!!!

Hallo European,

As most of the American boys have you supplied with lots of info on Brasília, there was nothing else that I could do to you but get you a contact from the city. His name is Léo, and his e-mail is bmal20_2000@yahoo.com , I told that you might contact him, and he will help you out with more Brasília information from a local. One more note, he's not a escort but he could go out with you for free... if he likes you... Just tell him that I sent you to him...

Best regards,

I just went back from Brazil, where I spent several days in Brasilia, and a few days in Rio as well.

As far as Rio is concerned, I think most of the regular users of this site are already aware of its impressive sauna scene. I have nothing more to say, except W O W !!!

Brasilia was, on the contrary, rather disappointing... Apart from admiring Niemeyer's marvelous architecture, there are actually not so many things to do in this so-called capital city, and the gay escort scene seems to be very limited.

The only sauna I visited was "Aquarius" (which actually recently changed its name into "Acropole", but is stil a gay place). It seems that a few escorts work there, and I personally tried one who provided a very good service for nothing more than... 20 reals !.

I aslo found some interesting ads in the local newspapers.

The following phone numbers, which I was given during my stay, are supposed to be those of male escort agencies:

556 24 34

335 25 38

485 24 12

I have to insist, however, on the fact I didn't actually called these agencies and am not sure of the accuracy of this information.

I hope this can help other occasional visitors to Brasilia...

Thanks again to all of you who gave me some information before my trip... and see you soon on M4M !

The current issue of G Magazine has an article about gay Brasilia and mentions the Acropole as a sauna with boys, so visitors should check it out! You might need to ask locals if there's any day that's particularly busy. The article also mentions the food court and johns at Conjunto Nacional and the the upper platform of the bus station across the street, so it seems that they're still going strong. Of course, these are AYOR! ;)

Sorry, to hear that your trip to Brasilia wasn't successful that much. Brasilia cannot be compared to Rio regarding the gay & escort scene , that's for sure. However you can find interesting things to do. I always enjoyed travelling to Brazil and discovering new places.

Trilingual,

Thanks for the information. However I wouldn't recommend the Upper platform of the bus station in front of the Setor de Diversoes Sul (SDS) especially if are alone. This place is dangerous in late night and the police is trying to secure the area.

I'm sure the bus station platform can be risky. That's why I said it's AYOR (at your own risk). Some people like that, or are experienced enough in Brazil that they feel they can handle such a scene. Undoubtedly, the police try to clean up the place periodically, but it's been cruisy for decades now, so I think it'll continue to be cruisy.

The G Magazine article also mentions the area around military HQ as being cruisy at night for those into soldiers, but you'd have to get local information about the exact location. Also, I'm sure you'd need a car. Walking would be dangerous, and is out of the question in any event because of Brasilia's size and the fact that it was designed for automobiles (no stoplights, no corners, no sidewalks). . .

Brasilia is worth visiting for a couple of days for the architecture and to experience the "big sky" country of the interior planalto. Unless you have business/friends/family there, it probably isn't a very interesting place to spend much additional time in. It's not a place I'd recommend visiting just for its gay scene! But if you do go for other reasons, it's worth knowing where you might find some amusement during the evening, especially if you don't know anyone in the city.
