While I'm planning my first visit to Rio in late July and August, I'd love some more good reading on this great site. So even though I've learned that there is a fair amount of turnover in sauna guys, I'd love to hear, in general, how close some of the guys are to my favorite types... Tall (ever seen a guy 6' 6" or more?)... Bodybuilders (I mean really big muscles but also lean)... Young (18-20 I'd guess, but looking and acting even younger, boyish)... Hung ("bigger than average-" great. But let's get specific... Who's the biggest you've ever seen at the saunas?) Thanks for the good reading.

Your experience in Rio may be mixed, and you may end up being the next Mavica. Brazilians, in general, are not as tall as Americans. There are some tall guys around, but they tend to be the exception, rather than the rule. Rayan at Estação is 195 cm (6'5") and there are a few others. On the whole, though, 180 cm (6') is considered tall in Brazil, and 190 cm (6'3") is very tall. If very tall is your criterion, I'd suggest Holland or Scandinavia, where guys 197 cm (6'6") and taller are pretty common.

There are lots of muscled, lean guys around. Of course, the ones who are really body builders tend to be bulky, rather than lean, since some of them take steroids. The "classical" Brazilian build (pre-gym/steroids) is very lean, defined and tight. Chest, shoulders and arms tend to be less developed than buns and thighs, because the classic Brazilian sport, soccer, calls for a powerful lower body. Upper body strength isn't as critical. All the soccer, futevolei (volleyball played with the feet, like soccer), running around on the beach, dancing, etc. tend to develop the lower body more. It's only in the past ten years or so that you see a lot of pumped-up guys with American-style gym-bunny builds. If the guys in Kristen Bjorn's videos appeal to you, you'll like the guys you'll see at the saunas in Brazil.

Most of the guys at the baths seem to be in their twenties or older. A few look younger than that, but not many. If you're looking for really young-looking guys, maybe you should consider Thailand. And let me repeat, for the umpteenth time, be extremely careful about sex with anyone who might be underage (i.e., under 18). It's ILLEGAL in Brazil, there's a big anti-child/teenage prostitution drive on, and people, including prominent foreigners (like diplomats) get busted for this.

Mavica's first impressions notwithstanding, Brazilians seem to be a well-endowed lot. Since there isn't a huge demand for under-endowed escorts, you won't see many at places like the escort saunas. Almost all of the guys at the saunas have at least 19 - 20cm (8"). Some are bigger. I've been with guys recently who have 23 - 24cm. (9 - 1/2") The biggest guys I've ever run into at the baths had between 27 - 29 cm (11"), but it's been a while since I've seen anyone in that league. Needless to say, there aren't many guys that big anywhere. A lot of Brazilian guys are also hung very thickly (up to beer-can size) so if that's a turn-on for you, you should be a happy camper.

Rayan is tall, youthful-looking, and very well hung (especially in the thickness department) so if he's still haunting Estação I'd suggest hooking up with him. He's kind of low-key, though, as opposed to super-macho or aggressive, so I don't know how that grabs you. Nevertheless, I'm sure you'll find someone you like. There's someone for almost everyone at the saunas in Rio. Even Mavica confessed that in a week or so he found more than a dozen who met his demanding criteria!

You will find bodybuilders, and there are a number of guys in the 18 -20 year old range(although most of the BB tend to be in the 25+ range from my experience) but there are not a lot of tall Brazilians!(at least in the saunas) I am 6'4", and none were ever taller then me and only a couple about 6'2" - 6'3", and two of those were brothers at Rogers. But, hey, two out of three is not bad!!

The very first guy i dated on my recent trip to rio was very tall...perhaps 6'3 or more. He was only 20 and was quite beautiful.

He had gorgeous green eyes and lightly streaked blond highlights in his hair. He told me he was a print model...which i could believe cause he was so handsome...and he was affectionate.

He was at Estacao...unfortunately i could never figure out his name....but if hes there, you cant miss him cause hes tall and he hangs out there with his cousin who also works there...and is also very tall!

Happy hunting.

Vivid imaginations

Listen to what people here tell you about the saunas, and discount it by about 50% . . . and you'll probably not be disappointed by what you find when you get to Rio. But, my impression is . . . that many who regularly post here (I call 'em the "Chamber of Commerce crowd") have a very vivid imagination!

RE: Vivid imaginations

Well, as the founding member of the "Chamber of Commerce," if I were an owner of one of the saunas or hotels, I guess I might have a motive for exaggerating the charms of the guys in Brazil. But I'm not. So I have no motive at all for misleading anyone. I haven't got any interest in sending readers of this site all the way to Brazil just to be disappointed (or to consider me a liar). Of course, not everyone who goes will love Brazil, but almost everyone I know who has gone HAS been extremely enthusiastic. Mavica is one of the exceptions, rather than the rule.

Again, Mavica experienced what he experienced, but I would just point out that he there on his first trip, for a relatively short period of time, and even he turns out to have raved about the scenery, the restaurants, and to have done at least a dozen guys in his brief stay. If they were such turn-offs, I doubt he'd have hired them!

Compare Mavica's one-time experience with those of travelers like myself (who's been to Brazil at least 15 times in the last 20 years for stays of a month or longer) or other posters here who've gone back repeatedly. None of them has any financial interest in the scene there, so presumably there's something else worthwhile that keeps us going back to a place that's so far away. By reading the posts, you can see for yourself what we've experienced and why we return. And we'll be very interested in hearing your reactions about your trip! If you become a Brazil Nut, welcome to the club! If you discover Brazil isn't your cup of tea, that's fine, too. As long as you don't expect everyone else to be disenchanted, just because you are, nobody will have a problem with that. However, being repeatedly told that I didn't experience what I've experienced, and that I'm misleading people, or distorting things, or worse, seriously annoys me! }(

RE: Vivid imaginations

of course, there are always those who delight in annoying other people. ignor them. this site is about escorts and those who enjoy them. all experiences are legitimate and welcome. a crusade for converts on either side is not the mission. we are simply sharing information. and as i prepare to return to bz this month, i will close by saying that those people who say $ can't buy happiness simply don't know where to shop!!:+

RE: Vivid imaginations

My experience with Brazilian sauna guys was fantastic. No vivid imagination is needed, the charms were non-stop. Everytime I liked a guy a hotter one would walk by!

And the size is not exaggerated!:p

Mavica, Please disect what I wrote and tell me what needs to be discounted 50%!?? There are guys taller then me? there are no 18 - 22 year olds? there are no BB over 25? Tell me what I lied about??

I used to give you credit that your negative posts where your experiences and what you saw or felt. Now i just see the postings of a bitter old queen who wants to "rain" on everyone's post.

Go back to the Archieves from oct 01 to present and show me one post from me that was not factual! Interesting that on each of my trips, I have met and/or went with guys who had never been to Rio before and havent' been back since and they are still talking about how great it was! The majority of the guys(6 out of 7)were between 32 and 42! Certainly a age range accustomed to frequent dating and being around attractive guys, two were from S.F. , two from Los Angeles and 2 from San diego. Not exactly places where guys are easily impressed! Yet they were and your not! Interesting... In the future save time just hit the reply button and put "ditto" and we will know to insert your comments about how all of us exagerate and you are the "truth teller" This coming from a guy who told all of us that Brazilian "dicks' are similiar to the dicks you will find in Thailand!! Yup I guess you are right, you are the only one with true perspective!!

It's 5:54 PST in California; I just returned from Rio drastically worn out in more than one way and decided to get my needed sleep before doing anything, including posting at my favorite site.

I am in a time warp, so I guess it must be late in Rio.

This visit was indeed fantastic, especially for Carnaval (about which I shall write later). In terms of the sauna guys-- go with the flow -- and you'll definitely come away with enthusiasm and euphoria.

Although Roger's is nearing its end, there were few, few boys and patrons when my friend and I went-- go if it's still in existence and get with Lukas, a very sensual and muscular guy; I saw him in October; my friend went with him this time. There was a very extremely tall and endowed black Brasilian there who exuded with sensuality whom you might like, too. But as TomCal and a few others have stated previously, the boys move around, meaning there might be a different set of boys each night, so DO NOT go expecting to meet with someone who has been favorably written about at this site; you might be disappointed. The boys move around. When I went to Estacao in October looking for certain guys-- they were not around. A similar experience happened this time, too, so my earnest advice is to do your research and just EXPERIENCE, and you'll more than likely will be the better.

  • 5 weeks later...

As a native.... I must say that I am really impressed by how accurate some of the people here are about depicting the gay scene in Brasil... Tomcal, tri, gringo and a few other guys know it so well that's quite impressive, and many times (with all of my insider's view) I feel that there's nothing to be said... for these guys paint it with such talent and truth, that there's nothing to be added... As for Mavica's experience... I truly feel sorry for him... and I think he shouldn't ever come back, for if he were only able to find Thai boys dick size... he's a pretty unfortunate chap, thus he should leave his share of bad luck wherever he goes... and not here anymore 'cause we've got enough problems, and we surely don't need somebody with his sort of fortune to walk around our streets.

Um abraço,:7

Truth, Justice, and the MFM Exaggerators Way!

Carlo, if your exaggeration of what I've written is repeated in your pimping for the people you work for, people probably ought to avoid you and what you're pimping on this site. Maybe you ought to ask for a refund on what you paid for English lessons! LOL!

Carlo- if I were you, I'd completely ignore the previous arrogance and cyncism. The comments are indicative of what one should expect from the writer. It is quite unfortunate, too, since this forum is meant to educate and to inform rather than belittle or humiliate.

Yes, one can disagree, but there is a big trait called "being tactful"!x( :(
