Hello, here a very direct question. Can I get in Rio Viagra from a drugstore/pharmacist without a receipt from a doctor. I read here a lot of stories with 2,3, or 4 boys a night some medical support is maybe useful.:-)

Technically, I think a prescription is necessary. Last year I accompanied my traveling companion to a pharmacy on Barata Ribeiro to buy some and was surprised to be asked for a prescription. I had to go into a song-and-dance about how how he didn't have one because he's a foreigner and had forgotten his own Viagra back in NY. After some consulting among themselves, they went ahead and sold it to him without a prescription. So if you DO have a prescription from back home, you might want to bring the box or bottle with you, just in case. However, from what other visitors to Rio have reported, we may have just stumbled into a very picky pharmacy! Everyone else seems to have had no problems buying Viagra.

Ordinarily, most things that require a prescription in the U.S. can be obtained without one in Brazil. The only exception I can think of would be for anything containing narcotics.

Ok, here's a question from a greenhorn: Viagara makes you have an erection that lasts a long time, right? How long - an hour, three...? Also, after you climax do you stay hard? If I normally would wait half an hour before I came again, would the Viagra change that?

Thanks,

Ok, I will field this question! lol Viagra does not give you an erection unless you are sexually stimulated!(after taking the pill you won't all of the sudden spring a erection without somebody doing something to you)...just like real life!

One effect it seems to have on alot of guys is it will take you somewhat longer to "Cum", and "recuperate" quicker, so you can take the next boy upstairs and the next...the same night!

For me . . . If I take more than a 50mg Viagra . . . it has a negative effect. We're all different, but 50mg is all I need (I can go soft on 100mg.). But, it takes me longer to cum when I'm on Viagra (no surprise) than when I'm not . . . and, for the bottom . . . it can become uncomfortable (45-min of my plowing away!). When I've bottomed . . . I don't want to use Viagra . . . because I want to cum naturally. A hard dick's one thing . . . having a lead pipe stuck up your ass for an hour is another! None of the guys I met at the commercial sex saunas in Rio were on Viagra.

I certainly hope not! If those 20-somethings can't keep it up without chemical assistance there's no hope for us 50-somethings! Unless a sauna guy's just been with another client and is "petered out," it's unlikely one of them won't be able to get hard. But Brazilians seem to manage to get hard and stay hard pretty easily. Even the non-commercial ones! If it isn't the water, maybe it's something in the beer? Or the guaraná?

Hey guys - bought 50mg in RIO over the counter with no problem. Couldn't find 100mg. FYI - In USA, 100mg costs the same as 50mg. If you cut them in quarters (25mg), take an acid reducer with Cimetidine(over the counter) and then put the quarter under the tongue, the effect is much better and ultimately less expensive.

Many of the hustlers working the Rio saunas could use a tab of Viagra . . . because it was obvious that they had difficulty getting it up, and/or keeping it up. I think there's been a bit of exaggeration about the prowess of many of the guys. Just my opinion . . . and the results of my poll!

I'm still kind of mystified by Mavica's experience in regard to the, um, virility quotient of the guys at Rio's saunas. The guys I've been with at the baths in Brazil rarely have difficulties achieving and keeping erections. The few times they did, they were mortified and either wouldn't take their fee or promised a "freebie" for the next time.

I'm not aware that generic Viagra is sold in Brazil, although other drugs are. Those made by reputable pharmaceutical companies, including the government-owned lab that makes some of the AIDS meds, are perfectly fine.

There HAS been a problem with counterfeit drugs (usually brand-name ones that sell for more money) that turn out to be sugar pills. It can be hard to tell, of course, but examine the package carefully and compare it to previous packages you've bought. The likelihood of running into counterfeits diminishes if you buy at larger, well-known pharmacies that are parts of big chains. I've never run into counterfeits, myself, but I also haven't bought many drugs in Brazil, as I usually carry a big supply of my prescribed meds from the U.S. (they're inexpensive through my HMO).
