The Buenos Aires Herald lists escort agencies on the back page (or the next to last page). The operators speak English, but most of the escorts do not. Usually not a problem. There's a Spanish gay magazine (I don't remember the name, but it is standard magazine size and glossy) which has a lot of escort ads, but most are in Spanish. You used to be able to get trade on Calle Rodriguez Pena around Avenida Santa Fe. Also you can pick up hot guys in the park along the Rio Plata around where the U.S. embassy is. Hope this helps.

The magazine is NX. It's available at newstands in the Zona Norte, especially along Av. Santa Fé. Earlier in the evening, like around 10:00 to 12:00, try the cafés Los Olmos (at Santa Fé and Pueyrredón) and El Trebol (Santa Fé and Uriburu?). You should be able to pick out the working guys. The Argentine economy is more or less back in the toilet, with very high unemployment, so my guess is that there are a lot of guys looking for some extra employment right about now.

I think you would enjoy tremendously either Moscow, or St. Petersburg both for the scenery as well as for the sizes available. And they come more cheaply than elsewhere, but are not "cheap" (eg. I found them all to be quite classy).

Well, it's midsummer in South America and the Argentine economy just melted down. Again. You probably saw pictures of the rioting and looting on TV.

 

In Argentina these things are like spasms; they pass. (I'm referring to the rioting and looting.) The economic crisis will be of longer duration. For travelers, this may all be a favorable development, because Argentina has been ridiculously expensive the last several years. The odds are good that Argentina will have to abandon the 1 peso = 1 U.S. dollar fixed exchange rate and allow the peso to devalue. A couple of weeks ago, before the riots, US$1 was selling for A$1.50 in Montevideo, where the currency can trade freely. So stay tuned. If prices come down in dollar terms, Argentina will soon be an attractive travel destination. Especially if you like your cities grand (which B.A. certainly is) and your men handsome. :9

They may not all be escorts for men, but all the ones I looked at are. Some are bi, and available for women, but unless you see a profile that says "solo mujeres" or something like that, it's a pretty safe bet they're available to spend time with you. I used Status Models in Buenos Aires as they have their own place where I could go while the BF toured the city, it being his first time there. I know I'm terrible Muriel. The apartment was centrally located and actually pretty nice. Very clean. Tried Daniel one time and Rodrigo another. Both recommended and so very, very inexpensive. Disintegrating countries can be so much fun.

I haven't been in BSAS in the past six months as much as I did till the end of 2001. May be my vision is thereby not so accurate.

 

I've been twice (May and June) to Status with not too much success.

First time I've tried a trio with Matias and Leo wich wasn't very good. Finally I asked Leo to leave me and Matías alone and things went better. Anyways Matías will do much more than what you would be told but you must negociate your own private rates with him. Thatb seems to be the standard with all their boys in these days.

 

Second time I was with Joel and it was really not satisfactory: Joel doesn't kiss and will only do oral sex with condoms.

 

The place (Status) seems to be suffering the argentinian crisis: it is not so clean as it used to be and, depending on the time of the day, there are not as many boys as they use to be.
