I would appreciate any recent information on Frankfurt Germany. Certainly info about escorts, clubs, saunas, bars, etc., but any related info, e.g., hotels, sights to see, places to visit, would be welcome as well.

I'm planning the trip for 1st quarter 2005, probably mid-March to April.

I've already checked erados.com and obviously doing some web research as well.

One thing that would help a great deal is if anyone knows of a reputable agency that can help with travel planning, etc., much like the gaytailoredtours of Budapest or the Russian agency that has already been discussed here.

Thanks very much.

Just a few ideas ...

Play Ground: Frankfurt's Male Escort Agency

I would have recommended Robledo (a Brazilian runway model and former soccer player from Rio) but he just left Frankfurt and he's no longer available at Play Ground.

Hope this helps a little.

I disagree that Frankfurt is not worth an overnight. There is an active bar scene, a male w-house (Playground, mentioned above by Steven Draker), and independent escorts (I hired a real hottie a few years ago, for $150 for 4 hours--such bargains are probably no longer available). There are a lot of hustlers around the train station, not a good idea unless you speak fluent German. The downtown is full of modern skyscrapers, but the Sachsenhausen neighborhood is attractive and has good restaurants. There are also various cultural venues, including Goethe's home, museums, and a very good opera company. The train from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof to Amsterdam Centraal takes about three hours.

I agree that Frankfurt is worth as least an overnight and it is useful to do a little research before going as you want to know the spots of interest to a gay man. The downtown is a little off-putting with its mishmash of architecture (the war was not kind to Frankfurt and the rebuilding was not as thoughtful as say, in Cologne where a better job of restoration was done). I also have fond memories of the bar scene and meeting two very hunky Germans who took me and my then boyfriend back to their apartment for a foursome. :p
