Spain: Planning Ahead

I'm spending two weeks in Spain, beginning February 16. For the first four days, I'll be with a group of professional colleagues in Madrid; but afterwards I want to take a driving trip in two loops. The first will go out from Madrid to the Escorial, Avila, Salamanca, etc. The second will be a longer journey down to Andalucia.

 

Although I speak pretty fluent Italian and bad French, I don't speak Spanish at all. It's probably unrealistic even to wonder, but wonder I do whether anybody could recommend an escort who would be good company in public as well as in private? If he's based in Madrid, I could of course try him out before making further arrangements. But some of the Barcelona escorts look great, and unfortunately I'm not going there.

 

If any of you guys has experience in Spain, I would much appreciate your advice and suggestions.

In Madrid, the bathhouses with boys are the Plaza and the Adán. Neither is as good as the Thermas in Barcelona, let alone their counterparts in Brazil, but you might find someone there who rings your chimes and speaks some English. The baths would be at their best from about 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. From around 11:30 p.m. to midnight is the time to head for the Black and White bar at C/de la Libertad, 34, at the Plaza de Chueca (and the Chueca metro station), where quite a bit of what you see is for rent. Cruise to your heart's content! You should have a great time; Spain is truly wonderful, and the number of good looking men is very impressive!

During a trip to Madrid in December I met a young man at Black and White named Marek (a Czech). A very normal "system" in Spain (as well as in Germany and Holland) are the "Houses of Boys". This houses are escort agencies where you can find and choose your favorite boy and they have rooms (usually with private showers) where you can do whatever you want with them.

I've been there. It's inside a large office block on the Plaza de España, on the ground floor and somewhat in the back of the building. Even if the rest of the building looks closed because it's after office hours, the sauna will be working. If asked, just say you're going to the sauna and also ask to be pointed in the right direction if you don't spot it immediately.

 

The layout is a bit strange, and the afternoon I went there weren't many guys, but at least two were of interest. As I recall, it was a Sunday afternoon. Possibly it's better on a weekday afternoon. However, it doesn't hold a candle to the Thermas in Barcelona, or any of the saunas in Brazil. There's another sauna with boys in Madrid, called the Adan. I can't say I was impressed there, either. Maybe other readers have had better experiences?

 

On the whole, I preferred the Black and White bar in Chueca as a pick-up spot.
