The review was always there. It just didn't make it to the "Newest Reviews" list. As I tried to point out in my previous post, the review is dated September 10, 2008. The reviews sometimes get uploaded to the escorts page a few days before they make the newest review list (I've observed this numerous times before.) If someone had exercised a little patience and common sense, it would have appeared on the newest reviews list tomorrow anyway, after all the review IS dated 9/10/08 and tomorrow is 9/10/08.

Let me begin this post by making a point that I have made several times in the past. This site was initially started, owned and operated by Hooboy. Upon Hooboy’s death “Daddy” became the owner-operator. I totally understand, therefore, that at first Hooboy and now “Daddy” had and has the RIGHT to establish and enforce any rules they choose. Keep in mind that the above comes from someone who has just had his hands slapped by “Daddy” for a post of which he didn’t approve.

 

There is probably no more diverse place in the universe that the internet. It is possible to find sites preaching, selling, or providing information about everything known to man. I am certain that there are site out there where women write reviews about male escorts and where men write reviews of female escorts. I am NOT familiar with these sites because I am not interested in the viewpoints expressed on them. Now if as ncm2169 says “life is about exploring new horizons” there are a multitude of sites on the internet where one can easily do so. For me the value of this site has always been that it provided a place where I can find information from MALE clients about the MALE escorts they hire. I am NOT remotely interested in reading what a FEMALE client has to say about a MALE escort she hires – we a working from vantage points so different that anything she has to say is meaningless to me. The only information a review of this type provides for me is the name of an escort I will NEVER hire.

 

Now in conclusion and to repeat; if “Daddy” chooses to include this type of review it is certainly his right, as it is mine to believe that it detracts from the real purpose of this site.

It confounds me that anyone would paint this reasonable observation as disparagingly "judgmental".

 

1. It isn't.

2. Everyone is Judgmental

3. Most often the most unproductively judgmental are those who frequently call others "judgmental." Obviously, not in every case. Not NCM.

4. There is nothing wrong with making an occasional, reasonable, judgment.

It feels wrong to say "no women", and for me to say "there are other sites women can use" sounds sexist and exclusionary.

 

At the end of the day, there really is no harm in women posting reviews. It's sort of like subscribing to (free) cable and complaining that "Lifetime" turns you off.

 

I guess the solution is: Don't read them.

Ditto. The reviewer focused on the escort, and what a client might expect, and told just enough about herself to set the scene. It seemed exactly the kind of review many folks are asking for. I learned enough new about DJ to make me want to see him should our paths cross.

KYT, just pointing out that, while you have hired a few (or more) tops, we all know you mostly hire bttms, so having DJ on your DO CALL List wouldn't be very likely in any event. :*

 

Many of us here including me have oft observed that choice of an escort largely comes down to "type," as it does in porn.

 

And, in DJ's case, the proof is in the pudding, IMHO. Eleven glowing Reviews in about 2.5 years of escorting for a guy in the relatively smaller Twin Cities market says there's definitely a client market for his type.

 

Plus, he tells me that the one consistent comment he hears over and over from clients is that they find the fact that he's actively Bi is a huge turn on for them. }(
