I just posted in the other forum as well. Still, here goes...I'm traveling to Korea (Seoul) and would very much like to connect with someone while I'm there. Anyone with any advice? I've seen the agency listed through Rentboy, anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks...

if you saw the film "No Regret" it features a rather upscale male brothel that looked very intriguing if it is based on reality. But I suspect it is either sticky rice or difficult to find/get into such a place unless you really know your way around.

I remember a You Tube poster from Korea. Maybe...just maybe ? you could contact him and inquire? I am sure, being Asian, he would give you a map to Seoul's Gay world! :)

It seems to me that the site http://www.aquaboiz.com/menu/main.html is a promising lead! :)

Just to show you the buffet table!

Right now, 1 USD = 1,008.50 KRW according to XE.com (http://www.xe.com/ucc/). So 120,000 Won per hour is roughly $US120 per hour.

The KRW was around 1 KRW = 0.0009 USD in 2000, then dipped down to 1 KRW = 0.0008 USD in the last quarter of 2000 and remained there for most of 2001-2003. It rose from there to 1 KRW = 0.0010 USD between 2004 and 2005, and has been around there ever since, a 25% increase since the low of 2000.

Physical theraphy, massages, SPA, and health club activities have different shades and nuances in Asia...I thought I will remind you that! :)

As with any major metropolitan area, one should take general precautions with personal valuables. Here are some tips to staying safe in any city:

-Don't walk around alone at night

-Carry your money in a traveler's wallet around your neck, in a waistpack, or in a clutch-type purse with a zipper.

-Don't walk around with large amounts of cash (e.g., over 400 bucks)

-don't leave all of your money in a wad in your suitcase

-Keep close tabs on your child ESPECIALLY around roadways (The second highest cause of death in Korea, next to suicide, is traffic-related accidents with most pedestrian victims being children).

-Carry around a package of Anti-bacterial wipes, toilet paper, and handsoap (many public restrooms lack TP and handsoap).

The greatest danger you'll face in Seoul is unsafe traffic and maybe an occasional drunk person. A little paranoia around Seoul traffic is more than sensible considering the child death toll for traffic-related incidents. Drivers in this country usually disregard basic traffic laws such as red lights and yield signs, so I usually wait a second or two after a light changes to ensure that no one will go blasting through an intersection as I'm crossing the road. Even though pedestrians legally have the right of way, drivers will inch forward into a crowd to make them give way. I would be careful of my toddler in such situations.

Walking around at night is fine as long as you have someone along with you and you stay in well-populated, well-lit areas (Dongdaemoon and Myongdong are spectacular at night; also, with a male escort, it's also nice to visit the Han Riverbank around Ttukseom Resort at night). The only crime-related problems I've heard of are ones of pickpocketing in Dongdaemun. My sister was pickpocketed twice there, but she didn't take precautions with her wallet. As long as you keep your wallet in a zipped clutch-type bag, around your neck, or around your waist, you should not have problems. I've not been pickpocketed yet.
