After reading some of the posts this evening, it seems like there is an underlying theme of fraudulent and flaky behavior by service providers. Just was wondering if it might be easier to discuss them in one thread.

One of my biggest complaints is guys who advertise and don't return calls. Guess business must be really good. Made an appointment with this one over the weekend. Corresponded with each other via e-mail, he got my address and was a no show.

Now tell me, do this look like the same guy to you? Same phone number, two different sets of photos.

Experienced the same thing with "Sexcyone" several months ago. Set up an appointment and again, did not show up. When I finally reached him, he said he had to leave town.

I've learned my lesson, I'm going to stick with those who are consistent, reliable and professional and who have proven themselves time and again. There's a lot to be said for NOT trying something new!!

Even after emailing back and forth, I have

never hired someone without speaking to

him on the telephone first.

A phone call does not rule out that someone

will not work out, but it has been another

tool that I use when trying to determine if

they will be a good candidiate for a visit,

particularly for overnight.

The only time someone sounded perfect

on the phone that later burned me, was

when I broke my 2nd rule: to NEVER pay

anything upfront.

There are a few other things that I

look for, but making sure I speak to

him at least once has been invaluable

to me, even in OUR world which has

come to depend on the internet

so completely.

Also, I think that unreturned email

tells me the person is too busy to

deal with right now. I don't count

him out completely for the future,

it just means for now I move on.

There is no doubt "No Shows" are very disappointing, especially when you are unable to contact them afterwards, very bush!

However, despite the time and potential travel costs it is far better than having a bad outing and being out the fee. I have always looked at no shows with the knowledge that he is the one with out the fee.

I have been stood up several times, the most expensive is when a guy did not bother to let me know he had stopped escorting. I was out the airfare and hotel. The strangest no show was a couple of years ago, I was talking to the guy the day before, went to train to meet him and he was not there. Tried several times to reach him by phone. When I returned home and rechecked his ad it was gone and he has never been heard from since. I guess he woke up that day and decided to stop escorting. A very bizarre thing but I was only out some time.
