I went to look at their sites as you recommended and I had the impression that those pictures would be great for a photographer's site... not for an escort. There's a lot of visual information distracting from the escort itself, or too little information, just indirectly suggesting what the escort might look like after more close inspection.

 

It is fascinating to see that you liked them so much to comment on them. I guess one never fully understands the market...

 

Lots to think about for me.

Zipperzone-- I do think that if you had not written this thread I would have missed reading the reviews of both Arekk and Jack. I noted their photos, and that is all. Thanks, man!!!

I gotta say two things about the photographs these two escorts are using.

 

1. If you like these photographs - great. Whatever floats your boat.

 

2. In my case I'm with Juan. I find them a bit much to say the least. Many of Saunders are what I call artsy, fartsy. If I'm look for art I go the Metropolitan Museum of Art not an esscort web site. On an escort web site I look for clean, clear, well lit photographs that present the guy I am considering hiring.

Many of Jack Sanders' photos look "artsy" because they are. ;-) The photographer, Biron, is a somewhat well-known "art" photographer who happens to specialize in the male form.

Juan: The reason I liked some of the pics so much is that they didn't simply concentrate on a big dick and a lusious butt (not that I don't like said objects)but they were ably to convey the mystique of the escort as he might appear in everyday life.

 

Sometimes it is what is NOT shown that is more erotic than the standard so called "hot" pictures.

 

One other comment I would make - and that concerns the use of the word "Artsy". I hate that word with a passion. It is used primarily by straight people who have no sensibilities for anything cultural and as they don't understand it, it is their way of putting it down.

I actually agree with Zip on this one. Some nice professional shots are good and exactly for the reason Zip listed. For a lot of us we are looking for the fantasy come to life. Juan it has been awhile since you have had any fresh shots. It is one of the reasons I like Aaron Mark's and Steven Draker's websites. They always have something fresh looking.

 

I think professional shots for the more mature escort like Jack are absolutely essential in the marketing of his product. Of course the best marketing is quality reviews, but a good set of pics can get the phone going.

 

I also agree I am not looking for the nudes first. I love seductive menswwear like Raul Manza shows in his shots. I love seeing hot looking men dressed up then see layer by layer come off. Top that with a few shower shots with sexy underwear on. Then one or two hot cock shots to finish will have me rising to the occasion.

 

No doubt quality photos are an investment and not cheap. If you have plenty of business then why invest more, but the first night that phone does not ring . . .

deej I knew somebody would comment regarding the fact that some of US have complained about escorts using unprofessional photographs. I'm a part of that group, after all, I taught photography for eighteen years. Now with that said let me add that Saunders has way too many photographs posted that don't sell him as an escort. The one posted above is an excellent example. It is simply over the top and silly. As already stated Aaron Mark has as many if not more photographs of himself on his web site BUT they, as a rule do, IN MY OPNION, a better job of presenting him as an escort. To the best of my recollection Juan's photographs aren't that old and they are great photos and they stick to the point.

Yes I believe that escorts need good photographs. I also believe that their photographs are used more for a commercial purpose than an artistic one. The trick is to find a happy medium and I believe Aaron and Juan have and Saunders has not. Just my opinion.

That may be true, but it is not fair to write off his efforts at presenting himself because of a few bad pics. We should be more interested in discussing the good ones, of which there are many.

Zip I think only in how strongly I agree with you on this one.

 

As to how many pics apply to the business and the rest to go. I would say he has them grouped very nicely, so you do not have to page through them all. But who is to say which set applies to which set of client criteria.

 

From the different sets I see, a sexual interlude, I see some role play, and I see companion to travel with.

 

Juan's pics are great. But I simply stated that most are couple of years old a couple a bit newer, but at least 18 months. You do not have to shoot your whole wad like Jack did. You can have a couple sets done and then trickle them out over time. It just adds some freshness and seriously the more times you can draw interest to your site or ad, a guys fantasies take over and soon they are picking up that phone making a date.
