Any Experience with NYC Rentboy's Matt or Costas?

Sorry--don't know how to link to the Rentboy profiles. Matt is the one who says "kissing is one way to get things started." Just wondering if anyone has any experience with either one--can't find reviews of either--which I thought was odd. Also--on a mac--can someone explain how to link to specific rentboy profiles? Thanks in advance.

Bring up the escort's full ad (not just the page that lists him with all the other guys). Right click on his ad (not the border text that has ads for other rentboy features or porn sites).

 

If you use IE, select Properties. If you use Firefox, select This Frame, then View Frame Info.

 

A window will pop up which gives the address (URL) for that frame, in my case

 

http://www.rentboy.com/location/getrb.asp?rentboy=41337&Location=229&speciality=Rentboy&keywords=&modifiedDT=&page=18&only_available=0%200

 

You want to copy just part of that text, the part that goes up to location=xxx. So don't copy the part that starts with &speciality=...

 

The result is

 

http://www.rentboy.com/location/getrb.asp?rentboy=41337&Location=229

 

You can paste that here (or anywhere) and it should work swimmingly.

Once you have the escort’s page open, look for the URL for his page. If you’re using Safari as your browser, you’ll see the URL displayed in the Toolbar at the top of the browser page. Once you see the URL, delete everything to the right of the location number, and paste what remains into your post.

 

 

For your two guys, here’s the URL for Matt’s page, with everything to the right of the location number deleted:

 

http://www.rentboy.com/location/getrb.asp?rentboy=2036&Location=229

 

 

And here’s the URL for Costas’ page, with everything to the right of the location number deleted:

 

http://www.rentboy.com/location/getrb.asp?rentboy=81836&Location=229

 

 

Unfortunately, my experience is with the Mac, and not with Matt or Costas. Good luck!

Thanks Kevin and Lookin. I use Safari--and for some reason the only address that shows in the bar is: http://www.rentboy.com/home.asp and this does not change. I'll try it with Firefox and IE and see what happens. Just confused--seems like with Safari I should get the whole address but no deal. Anyway--thanks to you both.

Seems like Rentboy has been mucking about with their website, and causing a lot of recent complaints about how slow it is. I noticed, as you have, that sometimes all that appears in the address bar is http://www.rentboy.com/home.asp. If that happens again while you're looking at your guy's page, here’s how you can get to his actual URL address in Safari:

 

 

1. In the Safari menu is a tab called “Window”. Scroll down the “Window” menu and select the “Activity” window. A new window called “Activity” will open.

 

2. Scroll down the “Activity” window until you find a heading called "Rentboy v4.0". Under that heading, you’ll see a line that starts with “http://www.rentboy.com/location/ . . . “.

 

3. Double click on that line, and a new window will open for your escort, with his actual URL in the address bar. Then you can follow the steps in my earlier post above.

 

 

It’s a few extra steps to get where you need to go, but it should work, at least until Rentboy mucks it up again. Best wishes, and hope all this extra effort leads to the hookup of your dreams.

Matt's photos are at least five years old. That's about when I booked him through A-LIST. He never showed up.

Thanks LankyPeters--I thought the pics on Matt's profile seemed familiar. That completely makes sense. I think (maybe) he was with A-List 7 or 8 years ago and then was going by the name of Chuck. I hired him a couple times--he was a real beauty in his day. I wonder if it's the same guy? Maybe I'll have to bite the bullet (as it were) and check it out :-)
