I contacted an escort on rentboy. the ad said that he was versatile. he quoted me (for example 200hour). I said great. I thought, that sounds competitive and reasonable. I asked for comfirmation sake if versatile meant that he was comforatable being a bottom. at that point he said the fee to be a bottom would be 300/hr. at that point I backed off. I thought we were paying for time and what ever happens (HAPPENs)I do not think I like this. I welcome your thoughts.

Good Ole..Yup! There are those Guys that will give a different Rate for Bottoming, Especially IF they are starting at 200 an hour as a Stated Top!

 

"Menu Pricing".. Usually I have found to be among the Muscle Worship Guys. Ya wants more..Ya Pays more! Don't forget the Guys who also think that "Gas Money" is Extra on Top of 250 an hour!

It's actually pretty common for escorts to have different rates for different acts, but most escorts say so in their ads (e.g., that's what "Rate varies" usually means). If his ad and stat card indicated he was a top but you asked him to bottom, he may have thought it natural to raise the rate; to him, "versatile" may not have included bottoming (an inexperienced escort may think it only means he'll reciprocate orally). That's why it's always good to ask ahead of time, as you rightly did, exactly what the published rate includes.

It may be--just a hunch here--that some guys charge more for bottoming because it takes more preparation and can't be done too many times in a day. I have a sling, for instance, but don't like to set it up for anything less than a 2-hour session because it's a lot of work.

On the other hand - I've met some local escorts who have a lower-than-average rate for just oral, and that suits me fine if I'm not really in the mood to top.

 

If the information is freely given up-front & the rates are reasonable, I see nothing wrong with 'ala carte' per se. Where it becomes an issue is when the client isn't forewarned, and it's used to extort more money after the deal has been agreed.

LOL, I was thinking of the same thing when I first read about the sling. <blush> Always liked Tom's reviews. But now I think he will be harder to see now. I know that I would love to plan a trip NYC sometime later this year.

 

In responding to some of the other comments here. As a newbie (hired for the first time early this year), I never liked (or have so far responded to a "varies" ad. One, never knew what that truly meant. More importantly, I never liked the idea that it might mean the companion might have a better rate if rent or other bills were due...

 

It one thing if interests/desires mesh - won't go in to details - but we found a comfort point that made the trip very nice for the both of us, at a very "discounted" rate. But it was something that we both needed on different levels. So it worked out, but I had called him on his published rates.

In response the the term VARIES, I could see how travel rates might vary depending on the distance, esp. since gas prices have been climbing recently. If the client wants the escort to travel(drive) 20-50 miles to get to their house I believe the client should absorb the cost. That might be a good reason to post varies in the for an outcall. But,

Bottom...$$$

I think I disagree esp. when the ad says versatile.
