Last night I was terribly disappointed twice. I'd gone to San Francisco for some fun, so I confirmed an appointment with a "masseur" who advertises on c's list; he rang me on Thursday seeming very sincere and committed, yet he failed to keep his appointment. I was indeed pissed, as I could have hired some masseurs who I had seen previously in "The City."

Well, since this appointment failed, I contacted Deman, a guy who has a tatoo on his cock. His ad and pics and website all were a "turn on" for me! I rang him, and he returned my call in a timely manner. We made an appointment for 10:30p; he arrived a few minutes afterwards and began stripping once I'd opened the door to the hotel; his actions perplexed me to no end. After he took a leak; he returned to the room and continued to disrobe. Once he was in the raw, he placed some device around his balls and lay back in the desk chair; again, I just looked at him and tried to talk decently with this "fool."

When he lay on the bed and posed, I had to tell him that I had expected him to be much more interactive and responsive. He apparently wanted me "to service" him, and that IS NOT my scene. I had wanted to get really involved with the guy based on what I'd mentioned before.

I stopped our brief encounter and told him emphatically that this is NOT going to work! He tried to respond but was not too convincingly literate in what he relayed. He redressed; I paid him; he apologized, but I again candidly told him that I was not pleased that it did not work out.

From the two aforementioned BAD experiences in one evening, they give me pause to hire anyone else who advertises at that site!

Have any of you guys had similar or worst experiences from the guys who advertise at C's list?

That sounds fuckin' hot to me; I definitely love interaction but I also love a guy who just cockily kicks back to be serviced. :9

>convincingly literate in what he relayed. He redressed

I'm confused. Did he "redress" (make amends or restitution for your dissatisfaction) or not? :o

Craigslist reminds me of the bad old days (the really bad ones) when there was no gay media in most places, and you just took pot luck, sometimes (actually more often than not) ending in real disappointment and occasionally in danger. Given the resources we now have, I can't imagine why anyone would use Craigslist and its shot-in-the-dark approach unless the unknown and possible harm are your turn-ons.

I have a trip to SF next month and have been taking occasional looks at CR out of curiosity. I guess this answers my question of whether to go any further (and a hat tip to Axiom2001 for answering my Marcus iron question; I have the unfortunate picture of him tuning into a flaky, troubled guy who lists when the rent is due, kindof like what Eric Manchester used to do until fairly recently). A small but visible proportion of guys who advertise in the usual places also go in for CR and I'm guessing that the cross-over is probably a bad sign.

yeah the craig list isn't very good. I started using it to pick up extra massage clients. I'm very blunt so its easy for me to weed people out. but from what i hear from clients are some horror story's. a great deal of the guys and gals on the cl have fallen on hard times and need a quick buck so they post on the cl. allot of them could care less about providing a good service.. Then you have the clients who want a cheap deal. I normally get 80.00 for a massage. a real massage but done in the nude with a free hand release after. I get guys expecting full blown escort services for that price..

you have plenty of company at the SFWorkingBoyReview yahoo group which was formed to reduce these types of experiences. its a forum where we discuss experiences bad and good and make inquiries. please come share your experience and use this vehicle to find the good ones that are on cl, etc. all I need is your email address and you'll receive an invitation to join. once you accept, you can check out the photo database and find info by seaching/reading the messages posted. this group is only as good as its participants make it, so I encourage any and all bay area clients or visitors who have experiences to share to join.

As Willy Shakespeare once said.."Cheap Begets Cheap"

I have heard of very few Success Hook Ups from CL/NYC also..Some of the AD's are a Fun read though! LOL

But "Horney Times" calls for Horney Measures... Rentboy and a Review from Daddy IF there is one, is a little Less of a Crap Shoot!

Although Granted at times not much! IMHO

:p :P :p

As a regular Craigslist scanner, I've found that I can generally tell a flake by: quality of ad and pics (no pic=no interest on my part), misspellings (rampant on CL), and obsessive reposting of ad (some guys must repost their ad every hour...this smacks of desperation and those down on their luck or on drugs). I also judge based on how long it takes a poster to respond to my e-mail and then the e-mail itself. I have to say, I've had good experiences so far with CL in both NYC and DC. I like it when users of the CL site put up warnings about someone and detail their bad experiences. I also like that CL is forcing other working boys to lower their prices. I've seen a number of guys with ads on Men4Rentnow and Rentboy posting on CL and asking $50-100 less.

I've principally hired from daddysreviews and its predecessor; occasionally I've hired from http://www.rentboys.com. Twice I've hired from http://www.men4rentnow.com and have had bad luck.

Recently I've checked out http://www.craigslist.com for a variety of services. I decided to do as I did on Friday evening becuase of the ads and the pics attached (which at times are phoney, too, I've now concluded).

My hiring of masseurs has mainly been from http://www.massagem4m.com (San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and NYC). All of these experiences have been (stellar) worth noting in the "Review Section" at that site.
