Still recovering from the sticker shock of that $450, I see that Boston has a visitor from NYC who goes by the name of "Erin." From many miles away, I'm frightened by the look in his eyes. Insane? Heavily doped? Criminal and desperate? God save us.

With all respect to EXPAT in the other thread, I don't know anyone in Boston who pays such rates.

 

The more money a Brahmin has, the less likely he is to be a fool with it. Same with us non-Brahmins, for the most part.

 

The thing to probe for is whether an exorbitant hourly rate is prelude to a reasonable multi-hour package. $450/hr is lunacy in my book but $500 for 3 hours can be a different story, depending on the goods of course.

I see threads in here that deal with rates quite often, and no matter how absurd some rates may be it is important to realize that when an escort is stating a rate, it typically reflects what they feel that there time is worth, or the amount they wish to make for giving up an hour of their time. When they state their rate as such they know the types of clients they will and will not get, so i think to comment on their absurdity is just needless bitching.

With all due respect, by no means would I bitch. I'm just dumbfounded, perhaps as much by men or women who can easily spend almost $500 an hour on, well, you know, as by the men or women who ask for that sum. "The rich are different from you and me."

It does make me wonder, however, if one could place an absolute value on an hour of even fabulous nookie. Don't get me wrong: an hour of fabulous nookie with someone you love--even an hour of pretty-good nookie with someone you love--is priceless. But if we're just talking about a little friction...hmmmm...Perhaps my sense that $300 is the absolute limit has more to do with my very moderate means than any "absolute value."

To revert, however--am I the *only* one who finds the pictures of "Erin" (who charges a comparatively reasonable $250) extremely disturbing?

im never suprised at rates. I have this friend he decided he wanted to give escorting a try. his price? 400.00 now to me 400.00 is way over priced for Atlanta. He told me the price is targeted to the very upscale type of man and the type of client he wishes to attract would have no problem paying it..

Well, OK, it probably is.

 

I don't mean to advocate arguing or haggling with escorts over rates. (Some do but I don't. I respect and agree with your view that escorts can and should price their time at whatever it's worth to them, and let market forces take the hindmost.)

 

But I reserve the right to laugh at rates that strike me as ridiculous, and at clients who pay them. Including myself on occasion. And, also on occasion, to laugh at the goods in cases of wild mismatch between price and value.

Why should escorts be any different?

 

Some people enjoy spending money. Some believe more expensive insures

better quality. Some just like to show off their and used acquired belongings to do that.

 

You don't want and escort for $450/hr. By all means don't hire him. Consider it money foolishly spent. Consider it a needless extravagance. Consider, worst of all, a bad bargain. Or consider that if he is asking $450 someone is paying $450 and no one is forcing either one of them to do so.

when it comes to price and value, all I can say it the best sex I had was free. I have had great times with escorts, but I had an eight hour get together with a friend, that was wild and erotic. Started four in the afternoon, and before we knew it, it was past midnight.

So what I guess I am trying to say is that dollar value may not directly relate to how good of an experience a person has.

Jared in Toronto prices himself to be competetive with the local market, and I really doubt that someone charging twice as much as he does would provide a better service in fact I would say its impossible.
