Why a name change?

I was recently browsing Rentboy / Toronto and spotted an escort named Gavin. Upon reading his bio, I realized that he is actually Kyle who I have met with twice before. My question is, what prompts an escort to change his name and / or his identity?

I know one who changed his name when he moved to a new location where there was another escort in town w/ same name.

Some guys use different names on various sites to track which ads are pulling in clients. There are a couple of guys in the DC market that have a plethora of different names.

 

Also some of the scammer types have to change names from time to time to appear "new" in order to run away from a bad reputation.

 

As noted in another post some guys may share a name with some other escort in the same market and choose to change it to eliminate confusion.

All True, I'm sure! And some get older and can't claim to be 22 (or the ever-popular "29") under the same name they've been using the past 5 years, so they don a new one :+

I'll go with the age thing, seeing that Gavin (aka Kyle) states his age as 21. That would have made him 15 when I first hired him...YIKS!!!
