Anybody know anything about digitalelijiah that was advertsing on men4rent and americanmale.net in the last two weeks. I had two good conversations with him about meeting, however, he wanted one half the money upfront. I said no, but did offer to cover his airline flight here. There has been conversations on here about paying in advance and I think I recall it is a red flag to run. Please address if anybody has had an encounter with this escort and also your thoughts about advance payments.

I have never had any dealings with the guy in question myseld, but I can say that all posts here say DO NOT SEND THE MONEY. Airfare is a must but there is a posting in ask an escort section which address that as well. I am traveling to LA in a few weeks and a guy I wanted to hire Jordan SF, wanted a 5oo deposit up front. I am in Internet security and I asked him where he was at the time he sent his email, and he said SF. I ran a test thru the email, ip search, he sent and he was sending it from a hotel in LA. The other thing, depending on your sitaution , you can do is send a check and make it for over $600, like $601, this way if its a scam you can trace the bank and it is also a felony since it is over 600.

Some of the Best do not even require a

Just some thoughts.

Good luck, but I would not take the chance unless you know the guy or someone you know knows him.

This Site has alway's been used as the "Best Reference" for the Working Guy's.

But again Not being discussed on this Site, is not the "be all to end all" either! There are many Honest and Hunky Guy's around, NEVER discussed around here, As Opposed to SOME who Advertise constantly and are Discussed to Death and are NOT ALL THAT ANYWAY! LOL

But going into the Exspense Your Considering, without a Reference from somewhere, is Definitely a Gamble. Then again there are also "Scam Clients" as well. Welcome to The Craps-Shoot, no matter which end your on!

:p :P :p

I too have had conversations with this young man. Refer to entry "It may be a duck" in this forum. Same person. I did ask him where his skiing pictures were taken on his Myspace website and he chose not to answer, making me believe that his escorting business is probably a scam. Also, his phone number is not with a national carrier, but regional, which probably means it is a relay number back to another phone. He can't receive text messages. What reputable college age escort does not have text messaging.

I disagree. I think most of the guys here have agreed that if you are asking someone to travel you should arrange his airfare and pay him something up front--a third is about right. You take a risk, but he is also taking a risk that he will travel and then you won't show up or will otherwize back out. A third gives him something but with enough incentive to make the trip. Best to pay for the ticket youself rather than giving him the cash. If the escort is not traveling a distance, best not to pay up front, and his asking is a red flag.

Sending advance payments has come up before. I NEVER, EVER

send payment in advance. My booking a ticket for them which

is always non-refundable/non-transferrable is enough proof

of my good intentions.

If someone still wants to know if I am good for it, I can refer him

to at least one well-known person I have previously hired who can

serve as a professional "reference". If they want to know if I

can pay their fee, I guess I can offer to photocopy the cash on

top of today's paper. Someone else here had that idea the last

time this was discussed here a year or two ago.

Some escorts that demand payment in advance are scammers and

others (many of which seem to be from California for some reason)

are just not that interested in coming here to the Midwest, so

they ask for full or partial advance payment as an extra demand,

since they aren't that excited to come here anyway. If someone

isn't excited or at least happy about the prospect of me spending

lots of money on them to get them here in the first place, then

they simply aren't going to be invited.

Either way, it is not acceptable for me to send money, since

it buys me no extra assurance of anything, no matter what the

escort says. Period.

PS - as I said in the previous "quacks like a duck" thread,

digitalelijah is a scam. His myspace is gone and the M4RN

ad now has a different picture and phone number.

Advance payments to escorts and trust

I agree with Mike and Lookin4hotties. Advance payment shouldn't be necessary especially if the client is buying the ticket.

Before I see a client I try to develop some mutual trust. If I don't trust a person to pay me after the session then I'm not going to trust them chewing on my dick or vice-versa.

Generally I agree the client should be willing to pay for the tickets upgront. But I've also paid the airfare to meet clients with their promise to reimburse me. So far it's never been a problem.

Of course the nature of this business is or at least should be individual. I'm sure there are situations where advance payment is sensible. Of course I see few enough clients that it's easy to handle each case on it's merits. I'll probably never see enough long distance clients to need rules and policies for such.
