So, I am travelling. I knew I would be in a different city for a night so I reviewed the escort options. One stood out.

I called about a week before and inquired whether he would be available the night I was in his town. Yes, he said. We set a tentative time at his place. I told him I would call to confirm a day or two before I would be in town. Okay he said. I called two days before to reconfirm. All was okay and I said I would call a few hours before to finalize. Okay he said.

I called about two hours before. He said we were still on but he could not do an incall and asked to delay one hour. I did not find this unreasonable; I mean who knows what came up in the two days since we chatted. I gave him my hotel info and he said he would call while on his way to get my room number.

At the revised appointed hour, no show and no call from him. I called him. No answer. I called again 30 minutes after the appointed hour; then one hour after the time; then texted him one and one-half hours afterwards. Still nothing from him.

I found him on a not so popular escort site. Since then, he has appeared on more popular sites.

I think I should give him a day or so to call to apologize with an excuse, hopefully real and believable.

What do you think?

My instinct is that you won't hear from him. Even if you did, I'm not sure there is a convincing excuse for his lack of communication. There are so many threads on here that talk about the importance of communication, and yet there are still so many escorts out there who are not getting the message. You should do us all a favor and review him as a no-show so that the rest of us are fairly warned. Sorry about your wasted evening!

I agree, review him as a no show. I travel often and always make appointments with guys a week in advance, then follow up 2 days before and then the day of also. Most of the times it seems to work for the best, but I have had 2 no shows, even after all that confirming. I have realized that no matter how hot they are and how much you want to schedule, you are only taking a chance hiring someone from an un-reputable site.

No shows are so common that it is a good idea to have a back-up. Look on rentboy.com for one of the guys who say they are available 24hours. Look for someone who appears to make his living this way, rather than supplementing his regular job by escorting when he is in the mood. If your first choice doesn't show up or call within 15 minutes call another guy.

Doe. IMHO Review him as a "Definite No Show" in your case!

Of course Life Happens and Appointments are Cancelled, but it sure doesn't sound like this was the Scenario with you.

I realize the "Majority of Working Guy's" don't get their "Biz" from this site alone. But you just might be doing some Guy down the road a big favor who does read the Forums...

I'm also sure there are Many More No Shows. BUT No One ever bother's to mention them on here, to the Benefit of the "Less Pro Working Guy's"! :p :P :p

Has this ever happened to anyone else who hires escorts? YES! Does it drive us crazy? YES! Should the escort be reviewed as a no-show? YES! This is the most egregious example of the undependability of our special kind of business deal; more common is the escort or client who makes a tentative agreement for a certain day/weekend/week, and then becomes mysteriously incommunicado. I recently exchanged emails with an escort who was visiting my area, and he gave me days and times when he would be available, but when I requested a time, he never responded; I didn't hear from him again until his visit had passed, and I thought his excuse for not replying was pretty lame. But I didn't review him as a no-show because he hadn't confirmed an appointment. In your case, I think he went far enough that a review is justified.
