18+

Simple question. On many websites and even review sites, whenever an escort is 18 years old, I often see it listed as "18+". What is the reason for this? Why not just say "18"?

I think that the 18+ thing is a throwback to the movie rating system...I think that some states also use 21+ ratings.. If my memory is correct there was an 18+ rating used and a 21+ rating used both in the some states....the 18+ rating would be for movies that that are shown in movie houses, and the 21+ would be in adult entertainment theatres....feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Also using just 18 or 21 seems a bit restrictive... so the using the "+" makes things more inclusive.

I've seen the "18+" qualifier in personal ads from older guys who are advertising for much younger guys.

 

I wonder if the "18+" label in this case is actually a code to suggest that the escort looks younger than their true age which is nevertheless 18 years old or a bit older.

You can literally interpret 18+ as "I want to stay out of jail for child molestation, exploitation, etc."

 

If you are ever with an escort who advertises 18+ but looks younger, it behooves you to verify that he isn't really 18-.

 

It's a curious question to ask, though. When ages are listed as "20's" do you ask why they don't just say 20? ;-) 18+ means he's at least 18.

A lot of escorts seem to be very vague when it comes to their age. When I have met them in person they would tell me... and do so without my asking, and generally they have been older than what they posted on their adds. So maybe some escorts just want to leave things to the client's imagination too....some person may want an escort who looks 18....but who in reality is 23 for example....but its all pretty much part of the illusion....we pay for a service..that makes us feel as though the person spending time with us actually loves us... and as we all know such is not the case.

My goodness Louis you must have a very limited definition of love.

No it is not eternal, I'll be holding your hand on my deathbed kind of love, but there is some type of love, even, at the worst, the gee I love you for the money you give me kind of love and we know that kind of love has a short shelf life unless the bank is substantially stocked.

I never had that kind of parental love, mine was more the shut up and eat the spaghetti before I steal your meatball kind of love.

I would have to say your right, about my definition for love. I'm pretty much "old school" when it comes to certain things. I have enjoyed escorts, but never considered a round of "rolling in the hay" as being in love with somone. If I was to start falling in love with an escort, then I would probably have to move on to someone else...it simply wouldn't be fair to the escort or myself. But I do like several escorts...LIKE THEM ENOUGH TO WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH THEM..:-)
