Need Help Posting Rentboy URLs

Guys, I am looking to post a couple of Rentboy urls on some guys I am interested in and not getting it right. Every time I try to copy the url for a specific escort I keep getting the main Rentboy asp address instead of the one for the escort. Anyone able to provide help with getting the specific url for an escort on that site? Thanks.

Rentboy has worked pretty hard to make sure you CAN'T post direct url's like this one to my future ex Brett Mathers:

Rentboy doesn't WANT you to do this.

 

But here's how. }(

 

Once you've displayed the escort's page, right click in an area that's part of the escort's page. Don't right click in the header or the navigation panel, it must be in an empty part of the escort's page and NOT on any graphic. It must be empty. Move to the lower right of what you see in the browser, but not over any button.

 

* In IE7, choose "properties" and copy the displayed URL to the clipboard.

 

* In Firefox, choose "This Frame", then "View Frame Info" and copy the Address to the clipboard.

 

Once you've copied the page address, paste it someplace where you can fiddle with it. (Notepad is a good option on Windows.)

 

Find the part that says "Location=nnnn&" where nnnn is some number followed by an &.

 

Start with the & after "location" and delete to the end of the line. You only want the part of the address up to the & after "location", just like I posted above.

On firefox, there's an easier way. When you're scrolling through the list of escorts, just right click on the 'more pictures' button for the escort you want. DON'T MOVE THE MOUSE, but hit the enter/return key on the keyboard when the pop-up appears telling you right clicking is disabled. Then the normal list of right click options will come up and you can use the mouse to open the link into a new tab/window (you'll then have to hit the 'OK' button with the mouse to make it go away). You can then go directly to the page in the new tab/window and bookmark it directly (though you're wise to delete the stuff after location=# in the address bar before doing so as per deej's post). This sounds far more complicated than it actually is.

Yeah, that may or may not work. It wanders around a bit in various versions of Firefox. :-( (And believe it or not, it works on some pages but not others.)

 

Webmasters play these games all the time trying to keep people from right-clicking, but I've yet to see ANYONE fully trap it in all browsers.

 

But the key to that method is the same as what I posted: get the URL for the page offloaded to somewhere you can fiddle with it, and get rid of everything after the location attribute.

 

Rentboy DOES NOT want us doing this. They'd rather sell the escorts a direct URL to use. But, well, tough. ;-)
