Just confired today that I will be traveling to Santa Barbara, CA first full week of January. This will be the first of three trips by the end of April.

Could not find any listings on Rentboy or Men4Rent. Anyone have any suggestions? There's got to be some working boys at UCSB.

Appreciate any information. Thanks

I had the same question about a year ago and I couldn't find any escorts (good, bad, or mediocre) in that area. The suggestion to import from the LA area is the best option IMHO.

But, there is a lot to do in that area besides the escort scene. Solvang is not that far away and has some great shops and food.

There is also a casino just outside Solvang that I found very profitable. ;-)

But, perhaps the highlight of my time in the area was taking a two-hour drive North to Hearst Castle. I really enjoyed the movie on the making of the castle and then took two tours. Well worth it.

Wish I could help you out on the escort issue. But, I was unable to find someone local.

In addition to 1F's great suggestions if you can swing a free day drive up the coast freeway through Big Sur to Monterrey. It's probably the most breathtaking stretch of coastline in the US. And while you're up there, wander on into SF and sample the wares there. ;-)

Part of SB's charm is that it's about 3 hours from LA, and about 3 hours from SF. Close enough to be reachable, but far enough away to not suffer undue influence. So it kinda has its own thing going on.

If you're a history/industry geek, the oldest offshore oil drilling platforms in the US are offshore of SB. You won't see much. Just spooky dark shapes out in the haze. But you can say you were there. ;-)

It is only 100 miles from LAX to UCSB! It should take only a couple of hours to make the drive. Of course, there is the wonderful eye candy (surfers getting in/out of their wetsuits) to enjoy and the nude beaches along highways 1 and 101 :)

However, the drive from Santa Barbara to LAX can be long on a Sunday afternoon because of the returning weekend traffic into Los Angeles. :(

I live in Monterey, and it takes approximately 2 hrs for me to drive to my second favorite city San Francisco. San Barbara is about a 3+hour drive from where I live here on the coast.

If it isn't rainy-- this would be a superb time to come to this part of the country. There will be few travelers driving the Coast Highway 1, and if it isn't foggy, the views from all around are indeed phenomenal!

Happy travels. And do as suggested, get your men from LA or from SF.

There are virtually none who are in between these two major cities.

Santa Barbara Escort Options - Thanks

Thanks to everyone who has responded about escort options in SBA. I am a bit disappointed that the selection there is non existent but not surprised. x( It was my assumption that LA would be the epicenter for working guys. This is a quick trip so it looks like I will go with the tourist option rather than importing a guy from LA.

Fortunately, I will have two trips to LA by the middle of March so I am working on my list of potentials.

Good thing I like to shop. Yum! :9 :9

My trip to SBA is a site visit so I am going to get to play tourist as part of the job. Checking out various hotels, inns, restaurants and cultural options for the group I am bringing later in the year.

Back in 2004/2005 I was lucky enough to make over a dozen trips to Monterey for business. I would drive down from San Fran and have to say my entire perception of California changed based on those visits. Previously the major meeting destinations of San Fran, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Orange County and San Diego were my only impressions. What a difference in scenery and culture. Monterey is a place I could certainly consider retiring in if the opportunity were to come up.

Hearst Castle has been on my list of places to see for a long time and if not on this trip then one of the next ones I will make the effort. Another drive along the PCH is certainly on the agenda.

I very much appreciate the information from all who responded.

RE: Santa Barbara Escort Options - Thanks

If you didn't want to have someone come up from LA for the whole time you're in SB you could just pay for their time and travel. There may also be some that are more in the Ventura County area (Oxnard, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley) so it would even be a little less of a trek.
