I just had a date (?) with a traveling escort who was here for the Outgames (I saw his ad on Rentboy). What a waste of $$$? I mean he more or less lived up to his pics (he was a tad shorter than advertised) and he lied about having lube and condoms (I did an in-call) but just in case I had my own supplies on hand so he couldn't get out of the fucking he had promised. He also didn't kiss altho I had asked him specifically about this on the phone and he indicated he did (I am not a troll, have all my teeth which are white,white, white and do not have bad breath).

 

All that said, he did blow a load and it was all over in 30 minutes. No warmth or conversation, just wham-bang (sorta). Really perfunctory.

 

Luckily my regular escort is scheduled in a few night's time so I will get back in the groove. But it's left me less inclined to give the traveling boys a whirl. x(

What I do RC is that Anton had a very lucid post on that thread explaining the economics of escort travels, and some suggestions about how to overcome the economic disadvantages without disappointing your clients.

The problem is that the very good ones seldom come to Montreal. The rates of local escorts tend to undercut the traveling guys. I recognize they have additional expenses and that is why I agreed to pay $200 for an hour's session with this guy (in-call rate, outcall was $230). That is on the high end for Montreal. But he was still a bummer. Oh well.

I'm only batting .500 with the traveling guys. Of the two hook-ups I've had, one was great and the other disappointing. Both were well-researched and both had been well-reviewed. Odds are, every escort's going to occasionally have an off day, and if it happens on your dollar, well, you're screwed (figuratively, of course).

I find that after five years of hiring escorts I am currently hiring as often as ever BUT am hiring fewer and fewer DIFFERENT guys. Thus my problem with traveling escorts is that THEY TRAVEL and thus I am only able to hook up with them locally once or possibly twice a year. That just doesn't work for me as well as it does for clients who really enjoy one time hook ups. However, my luck with traveling escorts, when I hired them in the past, was just about the same as with local guys -- some were good and some were NOT so good.
