RE: Supply and Demand

I must have misunderstood the part of your post that said he lost interest when you offered him a discount.

I'm not trying to beat you up over this. I train salespeople and that would be my first question if I offered a discount and thought my client had lost interest.

I do understand in your business there is a larger degree of privacy and discretion involved. Calling a client could cause more problems than it solves.

RE: Supply and Demand

It's an interesting question, Tom, and one that comes up here from time to time. Like BigGuy, I'm single and live alone so I'm USUALLY a safe call. But if Mom is staying with me for a visit, I'm not sure I'd want her picking up the phone. :-) Or if I suddenly acquired a roommate, husband, or a sick relative or friend ... calling might be inconvenient.

All I'm saying is you just can't predict the circumstances at the other end of the call. It's probably best to err on the side of caution. It's not fair to working guys, but there it is. :-(

Great response. We should both bookmark it for the next time this topic comes up (and, of course, it will).

Escort pricing

After reading this thread, it reminds me of when I first came to the Message Center in 2001. Then there was a big discussion about escort rates because Campus Escorts in NYC had just raised their prices from $200 to $250 per hour. So many were outraged and I believe the thread flamed quickly. Since this site is about escorts and hiring them, no one should be surprised that rates would be a topic of conversation here. Actually I'm a little surprised that it is not an ongoing conversation since money is such a big part of the escorting equation.

I generally know what an Escort charges before I contact him. Therefore I have already decided to pay the published fee and never try to negotiate. I will always confirm the published fee with the escort before hiring him. I have negotiated rates with Strip club dancers that do privates. But I wasn't willing to pay my favorite Stock dancer, who is straight and that I was told does not do Hotel dances, $800 to fuck him. He volunteered to visit my Hotel and he would bottom for $1000 but then dropped his price to $800. I still passed and he is still my favorite dancer at Stock. With the fire at Stcok now, maybe I should visit Montreal and pay his requested fee just to help him out. }( Sincerely I hope he and the other Stock hunks can survive this set back.

I have only once refused to pay an Escort's requested fee and "moved on". That was an LA escort I tried to hire at the last minute on my last California escort hiring vacation. His rates are not public, even in his reviews, so I did not know exactly what to expect. He wanted $700 for 2 hours and I decided to pass. Affording to pay that much wasn't the issue, I spent $8k on my California escort spree, but it just seemed to be abit too much and it hit me wrong for some reason when he sternly gave his rates. I didn't even try to negotiate, nor did I really think about it. I have paid $300 per hour several times and just might relent and hire the $700 guy some day and I strongly feel he or any escort are intitled to charge what ever they want. I'm intitled to walk away if I don't want to pay it.

I also agree with numerous comments about the most expensive not always being the best. The best escort I ever hired was $150 per hour in Nashville, since retired. Of course Nashville is not LA or NYC.

So the escort pricing structure conversation continues....

.... BTW, what does Campus Escorts in NYC charge now per hour?

According to their web site its $300 for the first hour and $200 for the second. Its $350 for the other boroughs plus taxi fare and a credit card guarantee. What's important to remember is the agency is taking a cut of that fee. How much is the question.

Nice to see you posting around these digs, it’s been too long. Sorry I will be out of town on your next DC sojourn.

Might I suggest this with regard to the "plus" sign. There is the as I call it, "the buffet mentality". The escort will do more if you add more to the price stated. Maybe that is what the plus sign means. There is the stated price. Let me use this example. Maybe the example is not a fan of kissing on the lips, or french kissing, BUT for an added fee he will. Could it be the plus sign is there for that purpose. OR, in conclusion, maybe it means the person accepts tips. Gents enjoy your day!!

Over the YEAR'S since the "Original" Thread MAY 2006 the Plus Sign or MENU as most call it still is used by VERY FEW Working Guys..

IF the Client is Definite in what he requests before the DEAL is made!

So hopefully after "4 Year's and 9 Pages" we all can be a little more Creative and initiate NEW Threads in 2010 and Beyond!

The + does not change much. If you have something specific in mind you need to spell it out and agree on the fee ahead of time. That has always been true.
