Where do I go for a short vacation?

Each year I give myself a birthday treat and was thinking I would go on a short vacation. It would be in April (My birthday is in February but who wants to go traveling then?). I would like to see some hot escorts wherever I go but also want to do other things. I'm into art, architecture, live theatre (did I mention I'm gay?). At the moment, the two choices are NYC and Philadelphia. New York has some really hot escorts and lots of things to do but the prices for hotels could put a crimp in the budget. Philadelphia has one of the world's great art museums, in which you could spend an entire day, as well as two first class smaller art museums, the Rodin Museum (only one outside Paris) and the Penna. Academy of Fine Arts, which is also an architectural masterpiece, and they're all within walking distance of one another--if you are a good walker. The downtown has more 18th century buildings than any city except London, as well as many other tourist attractions. There is live theater (the Wilma Theater Company is especially noteworthy), and music at both the new Kimmel Center and the historic Academy of Music. The Alexander Inn is an excellent gay-friendly hotel in the center of everything, and it doesn't cost anywhere near as much a standard chain-hotel in Manhattan. Premier is still a bargain, charging less than any escort I know of in New York, and you can do it in their own comfortable accommodation (for no extra charge) if you don't like to bring someone to the hotel.

 

I know: I sound like a tourism promoter for Philly, although I am a native New Yorker and live in California. For a short vacation, I think Philly in April is a great idea; for a week or longer, I would recommend New York, or a combination of both (they are less than two hours apart by train, shorter than the time it takes to drive from one escort to another in Los Angeles).

Charlie neglected to mention The Barnes Foundation which is a must-see, if you can get in. I'm not sure of its current location status but they have a website.

 

Even though the gay men who reside there are a bit suburban and unsophisticated for my taste, the city has much to offer a curious and motivated visitor. The Four Seasons Hotel is quite nice and the food in their dining room is sublime.

 

You wouldn't find me in Philly in April. I think April is a great month to work on a tan-line in Palm Springs, where I would pay several hot escorts to suck my cock and eat my ass 24/7 or, at least, when I'm not swimming laps or lounging at the pool. Las Vegas is a great place for a short vacation. Inexpensive air plus hotel packages are available. Check Rentboy and this forum for escorts. Hard Rock Hotel and Palms have great pools. Hard Rock is a block and a half from the "fruit loop", 5 or so gay bars.

Actually April is a great month to visit Philadelphia w/ spring arriving the first week in that month. The buds will be on the trees and the guys at Premier are especially appealing. As many people will remember, Philadelphia has the liberty bell and Independence Hall and a very interesting historical neighborbood. The Declaration of Independence was

signed here and this city was the capital for approximately 10 years, so on any street you will find buildings where Franklin, Washington, Adams et. al. lived. The City Tavern, where delegates met after work in 1776, is still open and a cool place to have a meal or just a cold beer.

Philly might make a nice base camp for an east coast extravaganza. In addition to NYC, DC would only be a couple of hours away by train. DC is wonderful in April, particularly if the cherry blossoms are in bloom. And there's no shortage of museums there.

Exactly. Philadelphia is only 90 minutes to New York on Amtrak. You may hate my musical tastes, but I have gone up to Madison Square Garden just for the night many times (most recently to see U2 and Josh Groban -- on separate nights -- LOL).

How can they run an escort service and allow you to do it with the escort, in a room, on their premises, and not be charged with running a brothel?

Thanks for the input. It's looking like it's going to be Philadelphia with a side trip to NYC. Juan's suggestion of Montreal had my interest (I found a hunk named Pierre in the reviews) until I realized Juan isn't in Montreal. A real let down since his pictures had me drooling.
