I have never been to Montreal but am considering making a trip there. I have a couple of questions regarding the Stripper Bars that I hope some of you guys can answer for me.

1. Are most of the dancers gay or straight?

2. Do any of the gay dancers escort and if so how does one go about arranging an appointment?

Thanks for the help

I will try to answer your questions but this really should be in the strip club forum. There is a wealth of information on Montreal strip clubs in that forum - far more than I can tell you here.

To answer your two questions, the strippers are a mixed crowd. At Taboo and Adonis, the majority of the guys are definitely gay or bi. At Campus and Stock, there are more guys that identify as straight, althoguh there are always gay dancers.

In my opinion the best way to find out if a stripper escorts is to talk with him, take him for a few dances in the back, give him a decent tip, and then simply ask him if he escorts. He will tell you straight up if he's interested or not. Simple as that. Keep in mind that a guy might say that he doesn't escort one night, or to one particular client, but tell a completely different story to a different client, or for example, the day before rent is due. ;) I think you should respect his answer the first time though -- if he says no, move on to someone else. He might even be willing to recommend one of the other dancers for you.

Excellent and to the point response. I would add: don't phrase your question "do you escort"? After following Terry's protocol :-), ask the guy you fancy whether he's willing to come back to your hotel with you or whether he does "hotel privates". The dancers I've discussed this with believe "escorts" are bound to take on all comers, while they want to be choosy. (That seems to mean some combination of liking the customer, or feeling attracted in some way, or feeling safe with him, or being in the mood.)

I've had the experience of a guy answering "no" and then, after we had spent more time together in the club, telling me (without my asking again) that he'd be willing. The reason: he felt he needed to know me better before taking the chance.

Good points. I slipped up a bit when I said to "ask him if he escorts". I didn't quite mean that literally - should have elaborated. And I have had the same situation where a guy decides later in the night that he might be 'available' after all. It definitely helps to get to know the guy a bit before you even go down that road.

In one case, it was a couple of nights after I first popped the question, after I had taken him for dances several times and we had spent some time hanging out at the tables and talking.
